May 2016 retained an attorney and started to prepare my VAWA petition. 

11/08/2016 mailed my packet

11/28/2016 USCIS rejected my packet (expired forms) :(((  

11/29/2016 Mailed my packet again Via ExpressMail (I-360, I-485, I-864w, I-765, I-912, G-325A) with previous rejection notice on top & a request to expedite EAD

12/14/2016 Date on the NOA  

12/31/2016 Attorney emailed my Prima Facie (Notice date 12/19/2018)   (180 days)

01/14/2017 Mailed my husband’s birth certificate with the blue receipt that came with my Prima Facie

01/17/2018 I-360 online Update (correspondence received)

12/25/2016 Notice for Biometrics

01/12/2017 Biometrics completed

01/31/2017 EAD update (Ordered my new card)

02/04/2017 My first EAD delivered.

02/06/2017 Picked my EAD & applied for SSN

Just relax, and leave everything on gad's hands. At least now you know they are working on your case. Im May filler two months before your date and I have not heard anything yet. Like many people say it can probably be something very simple. Best of luck and keep praying my dear!

Hi everyone I am a silent reader and would like to share my case. Firstly do not use a lawyer by the name of ***removed*** from New York !!! 

Anywyas my timeline has just started I submitted my i360/i485/i765 November 27,2018. I haven’t received a notice or anything as yet. I included the following :

husbands birth certificate 

my birth certificate 

divorce decree 

marriage certificate 

court disposition 

police clearance letter 

money gram papers(to show I care for my daughter) 

bills (showing I’m poor lol ) 

pictures of wedding 

2 affidavits 

my personal affidavit 

library receipt (showing I signed up at the branch close to our house)

medical record (when he hit me in my head with bottle)

   

I remebered that i did not submit my psychological record nor did the lawyer include it in my declaration. I told her I went voluntarily and was held involuntary for four days. I called my husband to have me released and he didn’t care to. So I’m just preparing that document to send off. I have chose the pages to include and use black marker to mark out information that I would like to keep private. It is to a report about the abuse, I just went there bcz I was feeling depressed and had anxiety but it mentions me being married and separated , me wanting a divorce and me distancing myself from family. What is being included in that packet 

the psychological medical records 

my declaration about it (written by me ) one page but very detailed and a cover letter from my attorney. 

 

Am I missing anything ? What should I expect

There was an error ... basically i did not talk about the abuse. I lied. I just told them things aren’t going well, I wanted a divorce and we are separated. He was listed as my emergency contact

You should call domestic hotline number to get help from them. There are many agencies in NY helping with free of charge.

I’m actually not in New York . And the thing is she is preparing the cover letter to send it off ! And she refuses to answer my calls or email Bcz she said the client attorney relationship ended when the package sent off ! Even tho she forget to ask for my medical records. So she had a “last” 30 minute conversation with me about it. And she told me it’s fine I can black out whatever I want to
