Hey everyone! I sent in my VAWA application 12/14/2018 along with EAD c9 and fee waiver. Got my recipient for only Vawa 2 weeks later. Sadly my fee waiver was denied and I submitted a new one after the denial letter with the help of Sandra..  I haven't gotten the recipient of the EAD and if they approved the waiver.

Today I got a letter that they need biometrics . Is this normal for VAWA application? Or does it mean that my fee waiver is approved since I got already biometrics appointment.?

The letter says Biometrics code 2. I'm so confused you guys. I hope they process my EAD fast. I'm going to request expedited due to financial loss

I havent gotten the recipient notice for the EAD though... that's what's confusing..I dont even know if my fee waiver was approved. The biometric letter says I360 as case type. I hope this means my fee waiver was approved and they need the biometrics for my EAD

@MariFD Did you check the box for EAD on your I360 form? If so, then that's what the biometrics is for, C31. The biometrics for your C9 EAD will arrive separately, if your fee waiver was approved with its own case number.

My first EAD application was done under C31 and I received the same biometrics as you, code 2 on my I360, then when we applied for another EAD C9, the receipt notice and biometrics arrived with its own case number and code 2.

A lot of people, myself included, are requesting that their EADs be expedited, but the process is so slow because of the current admin, many are still waiting for EADs, hopefully they arrive sooner than later.

Hang in there, it's coming.

@Gogetter18

@Gogetter18 I did check the box on i360 that when VAWA gets approved I request EAD. Thank you for replying ... i was confused..

I wonder why they request two biometrics and not just use the first one for all. How long have you been waiting for your EAD? I'm going to try to request expedited by going through my congressmen,  heard that's an option.

I've been waiting 3 months now. My attorney requested expedited, but as of yet, no news.

I Submitted my it's been more than 3 Months I Didn't get any transfer letter too . I Remember someone asked Sandra long time ago about How Vermont process AOS when the applicant submit 485 after vawa approved , she said when Vermont received 485 they ship it to NBC after 2/3 Months then After 2 Months NBC transfer the case to local Office for interview .

 I can't Remember exactly what Sandra said . Maybe I am wrong or I Missed understand what she said exactly .

I don't know when Vt they ship it to NBC they Always issue transfer letter to applicant or they just transfer it without issue notice ? How long it takes ? Maybe sometimes VT transfer direct to local office , Not sure.

I hope we can get help for this questions .

My case Vermont transfered I485 to NBC then NBC transfered to Local office and last step the local office issued a NOA

Goodmorning to everyone and congrats on all those who got approved and hopefully many more will come in the upcoming weeks, i have a question how can you check your referral number  (SR) when you have requested information regarding why is your case taking so long?
