Hi guys

I am concerned with my case status. any advice is welcomed.

July 2018 filer for EAD renewal here? My EAD will expire soon in january.

I filed it in july so that I dont need to worry but it is taking long.

My attorney filed it to NBC even though I asked her to send it to VSC

Do you think that is a reason?

I filed mine in july. 09

so it is out of normal processing time so I called to USCIS and the C/S guy told me he cannot pull up the record!!!!

And he said I can write a letter to this address. And he gave me an address of VSC

Is it only way that I can ask an inquiry on my case?

Anyone filed EAD renewal earlier than 7.9 this year?

Thank you

My honest advise to you is to tell your lawyer to reapply for you again this time to Vermont.

Attach copies of your 180 day extension and your NOAif you have any

There's a lot going on so I suggest you do so instead of following up from the NBC and for them to transfer your file to Vermont will take a while.

When can i qualify to submit papers for work permit and green card

if i already submited  for vawa already ?

If your spouse is a US citizen you can can submit it anytime concurrently with C9 category on your work permit.

If your spouse is not a US citizen but a green card holder you have to wait till your i-360 is approved before you can submit them (485,765). In some instances you will issued an EAD when your vawa is approved.

Hello Everyone,

I have a question. My previous AOS got denied due withrawal of I-130 filed by my husband.

I told my lawyer to please send an email to USCIS and tell that I filed VAWA and do not issue an NTA.

My lawyer told me that she wants to request to USCIS a copy of my entire “A file” ( physical file where all my immigration applications travel) to see what if any letter my husband mailed to USCIS.

She will charge me $250 for this and she said that this might give us insight into what USCIS will be thinking when they consider my VAWA case.

I am really confused. Appreciate your advise. Happy Holidays!

@Charlotte18 These people are very evil, smh. Withdrawing petitions like it is the end of life.

Anyway, no matter what type of letter or lies that your abuser told to USCIS when he withdrew his petition for you, USCIS officers who adjudicate VAWA petitions know not to take into consideration anything that your abuser has claimed against you, that is why they are abusers, cruel people with very evil intentions. I have seen some people who are separated from their spouses but still make sure that they help their spouses get their green cards before filing for divorce, because what good does it do to be so wicked? They don't know if the person they have been abusive to will be in a position to give them a job or save their lives in the near future, so sad.

So, I don't think it is necessary to pay that fee, but your attorney has to send them a letter with proof that you filed for VAWA, not an email.

Good luck.

You are very welcome, that's what we are all here for, to support one another 🙂

They all think they own this country I tell you. My ex husband made so much noise about getting me deported and taking our children away from me, one thing he forgot: he is NOT God. I'm sure he is SO angry, like why is she still here? Him and his stupid lawyer called USCIS to find out about my case, but they were met with a stone wall. I can't wait to shine my GC in his face, I'm just patiently waiting 🙂

Hey guys I received receipt number for i360  already.. When I tried to check online case status through uscis, the website response has
"Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call ..."
Is anyone else having this issue ? Is there any problem with the application or is it normal?

hope everyone had a good holiday

Finally my lawyer said that she will send a letter to alert USCIS that I have pending i360.

I am patiently waiting too. I just got my first prima facie. Still don’t have EAD

Godbless you and and goodluck to all of us.

Congrats on getting your Prima facie!! Is it for 6 months or a year? I normally hear of 6 months at a time, I got 1 year and was nervous at first 🙂

Don't worry, many of us are waiting for our EADs, hopefully we get them soon as we need to work while our applications are pending
