i was working without a work permit for almost 2 years.... lawyer told me after you got approved notice you will get your work permit back... but i have read here some people  got their work permit before or even after  a denial in I-485 / I-130 (withdrew)

One last question, Did you get work permit from filing a relief in court or from USCIS after your case approved?

My lawyer told me that I can only get work permit after filing a relief in court.

Thank you

i am really happy for you after your ex thought he could bring you down, but God saved you..when he filed the i130 for you were you called for interview that the spouse refused to go or he withdraw the petition..did you get the work permit under the i130..did they deny your ii485 that you have to refile another i485 for the i360..dont worry your green card is approved spiritually and you will receive it physically soon by Gods grace you have really come a long way

can you tell us the documents you submitted for your vawa and did you do it all by yourself or  you used a lawyer,,,what are the documents you submitted for your i360 ..i tap into your blessings..stay blessed always

HI Blunt, Thanks for the info. and congratulations.

I have exactly same timeline ( I applied I-485+360+765 on May 2017) , however I got RFE And I got approval of VAWA on march-2019.

Do we get any preference on priority date in our local office.  My nearest center is Dallas and it is showing 19-23 months on I-485, with priority date of April-17. Will My case will be counted or I have to wait... Actually how it works ?😳😢

tbh i would advised you to give yourself like at least a year the timeline is not always correct it depends on the work on their hands so all you have to do right now is to just be hoping that you will be alerted soon and just concentrate on your work and get better job to do sooner or longer they will schedule you for interview just prepare yourself for the interview cause it might also be fast just like kleenex own so try and just relax and find something doing that will get you occupied and make yourself happy at least your vawa has been approved and thats the most important thing...can you tell me the documents you submitted to get you vawa approved..

you cant predict immigration they only have their ways of doing things when it comes to scheduling someone for interview or approving someones petition..but just be prepared it might come sooner than you even think

I’m in similar situations. But I don’t have master hearing  yet. Not even the court system. May I ask...

Did you apply for any relief in order to get a work permit on that day?

I wondered you have to wait for your next merit hearing 1.5years. Will you be able to get a work permit during this time?

@HopenycI got my work permit after my vawa was approved this last  October 2018 I just have to keep renewing it until I get my GC

Mine VAWA was really tough.. I submitted everything , all good documents to prove my good marriage, and the RFE was about abuse and the Good character. I gave 15+ good character letters + detailed police reports/ Court documents of messy divorce that lasted for year. So over all around 2500+ pages for application+RFE
