Hi! I know this question has been asked a lot of times but I want to know if anybody has traveled just recently using their combo card and how was the experience coming back? (Specifically to NY Airport) Has anybody have been denied of entry for some reasons? Im planning to travel home to the Philippines with my AP when I get it. I have overstayed for almost 2 years after my visa has expired. I really want to go but some friends are saying it’s too risky and not safe. I just want to hear from actual experience and also I need a boost of encouragement. 🙏 Thank you! 😊

I travel twice to the Philippines with no problem coming back. Also travel to 3 different countries at the same time.

Overstay for 2 months. LAX is my point of entry. I hope this will help you.

https://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-765.pdf

Here is VJ sample form, your form may be different because this is the most recent version. The previous versions are not that much different. On this version you can see at the bottom of page 1 (number 16) where it says what category. If it says C09 then you are well with in your rights to ask about whats going on since its been 1 year now.

Also didnt see the part about the fee waiver stuff. Using a fee waiver or paying makes NO difference to how they handle your case except for them needing to approve the fee waiver before processing - where if you sent a check they start processing immediately. Even factoring in time for the fee waiver to be approved puts you way out of normal processing times for a C09 EAD

Do you know if I can apply the new I-765 under c9? My weird lawyers applied it under C31. I’ve been waiting a year already and how long would I wait till I-360 approved nobody knows. Extremely frustrated with lawyers incompetence:((((

CONGRATS!!

Its so nice to hear of approvals!

Now that you are approved you have to wait for your case to get sent to your local office and for them to set an interview. You can check how long your local office takes for that online. You may also get some updates as the case moves- the final one should say at local office waiting interview. Some local offices take a few months to interview, some are backlogged around a year. Hopefully yours isnt such a long wait!

Some times people get a reminder notice before the interview stating they need a new medical. If you get that notice then get the medical done. But do not rush to get the medical done now because it can be a long wait until interview and you dont want it expiring again. If you know your medical is expired and you get an interview appt (usually gives several weeks notice) but no notice of medical then get the medical when you know the interview is set..

Thanks for the update🎉

Can You please how much time it would take to get GC interview notice🙏.

I applied VAWA in April 2017 and my service center is showing  as given below status for I-485.  I do not know, whether my VAWA application date date would be considered or my VAWA approval date. ( I got EAD via C31 , VAWA approval notice still awaited 😵) ?

My service center would consider which dates🤔?

@MGJ_NY Congratulations!!! It has been worth the wait. I know it took much longer than expected, but it's here now.

Sorry, I haven't been on as much, been so busy, but good busy 🙂

About your trip, honestly, I can't advise you either way, but please understand that everyone's experiences will be different, and border officers will be different too, some of those people bring their frustrations to work with them just like regular office workers do (they're human beings too :-)), no joke, so please prayerfully consider your options before making your choices. If it is not a life threatening emergency, I will advise you wait till you get your GC in your hands just to be on the safe side please, but the final decision is yours to make.

Again, congratulations, and best of luck as you continue your journey 🙂
