@FeDaniela The same thing happened to me at my interview. My lawyer was with me and we asked to have my I485 be held. The officer said they can't have my I360 because it was only for I485 interview. She said she was gonna put a "no-show" note since my ex- wasn't there with me. She was rude! My I485 is still active now. I though they were going to deny it.

If your I485 is still active, that means they did put on hold.... can you still renew your EAD without a problem?

I know because we sent a letter to USCIS the day after that interview. These officers will try to intimidate people, and some of them don't even know what they're doing. I had my renewal sent on Aug 2018, still waiting until now. I raised SR three weeks ago and said they will reply to me by Feb 26, 2019 but online update says that may SR is not assigned for processing yet. I went to my Congresswoman few days ago to expedite my EAD, I provided copies of my maxed out credit card, hospital bill, my bank account which has barely nothing. They said USCiS usually responds within 1-2 weeks, so hopefully I will get something by then.

Your attorney wil go there with you to ask to put on hold that is it.In over 17 years i saw just 2 cases that USCIS  decided to go ahead with the I-485 interview before the VAWA approval, and one of the officers made a mistake issuing a green card for 2 years instead 10.I contacted them and they issued a new with GC with the correct expirtation date .

Okay thank you, I’m just nervous because she’s preparing me for the interview and I’m bringing everything. I’m guessing that’s just the process. I’m praying they approve to put it on hold.

I've read that some members here who raised SR didn't also get a response. Have you tried doing an info pass or to ask some help from your Congressman?

It dosent start from scratch.... we have a case like that here on the trend.. go ask the person, when his case was reopened its did take 3months before the i360 was approved .... my lawyer also told me abt this.... it's an appeal to reopencase and correct ur errors and continue...

Ofcourse Sandra is 1000000% right. Motion to reopen/reconsider which carrys a specific time  mostly 30days to respond  is different from filling for a new application. Please get your fact right. Thank you
