Hello Karenliao546 you're welcome here..good to have you. There are so many people who made same mistake as you..or should I say oversight..not to worry you can still submit any evidence you can get with the blue paper that came with your prima facie. (Hope you have your prima facie?) Either you do that or wait till you are asked by the officer handling your case in the form of an RFE. For the i485 issue..usually we ask to put it on hold pending adjucation of i360 but as it is it will be denied..as i have read somewhere here..not so sure but @sandranj or anyone else in your situation can say for certain..it will surely arouse curiosity from the io. But not to worry as the new one linked ti your i360 may be saved. For the police clearance and divorce judgement..you can submit with the blue paper i talked about earlier..or wait till you are asked..(if you have the paper i suggest you submit the evidences you have). Please follow USCIS instruction and get police clearance from every city you have resided 3years before filing..if you still have further concerns do not hesitate to drop it here..anyone with knowledge about it can help. That's why we are here dear. Happy to have you here.😊

thanks for your rapid response.  The issues I cannot get police clearance letters from each city I have lived in is because I lived in New York before but lived in Bay Area California now. It is hard for me to go back to New York to get those letters. So, I am wondering that I can get a federal criminal background report which will require a fingerprint and it is for nationwide, instead. I got my 1st prima facie valid for one year and have not yet received any RFE yet. I submitted a lot of evidence to support my case, restraining order, police report, phycologist evaluation report, joint account, wedding picture, neighbor affidavit statements, and so on.

Sweetheart if you take the time to read through the posters narrative you will see she mentioned that the i485 filed marriage based was left open not put on hold..rather she went and filed a new one with the i360..now from what I've read somewhere on this post..and i did mention that I'm not 100% sure but i remember reading a similar situation where it was mentioned that the marriage based i485 might be denied..I didn't say the one filed with i360. Logically the marriage based 1485 won't stay open indefinitely hence. A decision from the officer..often not favourable.

Ok, I understand is open not on hold.  i was getting worried!!! thanks for the clarification

Good thing you submitted a lot of evidence..but you will still have to meet the good moral character qualifications..you don't need to be divorced from your abuser to qualify for Vawa. Except you were married previously and need to proof you were divorced from your previous partner. So your concern should be the good moral character documents..I'm not sure about the fbi thing you are talking about..I'm sure someone who is sure will respond soon..most times when faced with situations like this..travelling to get evidence shouldn't be a challenge...just saying..not stating that you need to travel...there might be other solutions..but personally if i have to go to the moon to get solution..i will😊

Does anyone know if in the state of IL i would be able to renew my DL with a prima face ?

@NiceGuyXLE I don’t know about IL but I used it to renew mine in FL. It should be standard in all states.

Hello everyone,

I got a response from my congresswoman today inquiring about my case and it's still pending security checks. She added that she's going to follow up every 90 days on my behalf.

I thank God at least I'm not forgotten.

Great! I know by seeing others timeline that Vawa takes around 20-24 months from start to finish. Please refresh your timeline and are you out of processing times?

Yes I'm out of processing times and it's been 2 years till date, filed Feb 2017 and we're in Feb 2019. My 360 is still pending, got an rfe in March 2017 and responded within 2 weeks for bonafide marriage which I resent everything I sent them earlier plus affidavits from my mum and others.

So my fingers are still crossed with this recent update.

Thanks for asking, really appreciate everyone's input.😊😊
