That’s general letter with required documents for most of 485 interview. So only few of them that applied to your case. E.g: You dont need to bring i864, dont need to bring your spouse... just talk with your attorney for everything you need to bring with you to the interview. Good luck!

Perfect,  Thanks a lot ..

It's sucks that approval has been slow or relatively not coming and it's pretty difficult to know the month they are approving. They need to declare state of emergency on this vawa. It's really getting too long and really discouraging. We pray for more strength to carry on. Happy Valentine's. Keep living your life and loving yourself. Your time and destiny will not elude you and I in the mighty name of almighty God. P E A C E S.

Amen dear..we need more positive folks on here! Testimonies are on the way. Let's pray for eachother and lift eachother up!!😘

Good Morning everyone. I am new to here. I hope Sandranj or someone else can help me with my questions. Really Really appreciate from the bottom of my heart!!!!

I submitted my VAWA I-360 in Feb 2018 and got a one year Prima Facie on 04/20/2018. Then I submitted I-485 and I-765, I-864W, I-693 in June 2018 and got my fingerprint done on 08/01/2018. Have not received any RFE yet. My questions are:

1) I had a pending I-485 through my previous abused USC husband, and then I submitted another I-485 for my VAWA, what should I do now? should I write a letter to withdraw my 1st I485? what is the outcome for submitting two I-485s?

2) When I submit my I-360, I was still married to my abused USC husband, and I just got my divorce judgment recently. Should I submit the divorce judgment to Vermont Service Center now or wait to submit it when USCIS asks me for it?

3) I did not submit police clearance for every city I had lived for the past three years, I only submit the current one and Good Moral affidavit statement from myself.  If USCIS asks me to submit the police clearance letters for every city I had lived, can I submit a federal Criminal background check instead of a police clearance letter from each city?

I have spent a few days to read all the VAWA parts, and I am on Part 4 now, and I have already found some mistakes that I made. Thanks for this forum. I have learned a lot from this forum and cannot believe there are so many people have experienced similar experience like me.  Thanks for everyone who contributes his/her time in helping us..... thanks thanks thanks

Welcome Dear

We all made mistake and some didn't know. But i dont believe your previous I 485 will affect the new petition I360 and I 485 you submitted but rather confuse the IO.

Calm down, if anything Sandraj will give direction soon.

Hello Karenliao546 you're welcome here..good to have you. There are so many people who made same mistake as you..or should I say oversight..not to worry you can still submit any evidence you can get with the blue paper that came with your prima facie. (Hope you have your prima facie?) Either you do that or wait till you are asked by the officer handling your case in the form of an RFE. For the i485 issue..usually we ask to put it on hold pending adjucation of i360 but as it is it will be denied..as i have read somewhere here..not so sure but @sandranj or anyone else in your situation can say for certain..it will surely arouse curiosity from the io. But not to worry as the new one linked ti your i360 may be saved. For the police clearance and divorce judgement..you can submit with the blue paper i talked about earlier..or wait till you are asked..(if you have the paper i suggest you submit the evidences you have). Please follow USCIS instruction and get police clearance from every city you have resided 3years before filing..if you still have further concerns do not hesitate to drop it here..anyone with knowledge about it can help. That's why we are here dear. Happy to have you here.😊

why the i485 put on hold be denied??  The reason is requested to put on hold is awaiting for 1360 approval...  you saying is denied anyways ?? please clarify because my i485 filled with my husband still pending and if the interview comes up before i360 approval I'm planning to put on hold, I know is the IO to make the decision...  put if they put on hold it shouldn't be denied

Sweetheart if you take the time to read through the posters narrative you will see she mentioned that the i485 filed marriage based was left open not put on hold..rather she went and filed a new one with the i360..now from what I've read somewhere on this post..and i did mention that I'm not 100% sure but i remember reading a similar situation where it was mentioned that the marriage based i485 might be denied..I didn't say the one filed with i360. Logically the marriage based 1485 won't stay open indefinitely hence. A decision from the officer..often not favourable.
