Wether it's for adjustment of status or investigation shouldn't trouble you as long as you married your spouse in good faith and have all supporting documents. Like I emphasised earlier it's worth it to go with a good attorney..you should be fine. You haven't done anything bad..you are not a criminal..girl if anything you should be confident.

Anyone here still waiting for their EAD renewal under pending I485? I know first time EAD filers get theirs faster. I filed Aug 2018. I went to infopass on Feb 6,2019 and all the officer told me that they’re still processing it and couldn’t tell me when I should expect it. Wasn’t really helpful. I already did an SR and should expect a reply on Feb 26, 2019. 😔

Feb 26th is not far away dear..patience. I just sent my 2nd renewal out last week..I hope everything moves accordingly. 🙏

@sandranj and all residents of this  thread I need you help, advice and support.

 

First of all i can't believe that I will ever ask help here after spending time on VJ and waiting for approving our case year ago. Was so excited and happy. And now...here I'm am! Applying for VAWA:(

 

 I'm very confused so I need your help.

 

My husband and I met on March 2017. It was love! I felt in love and even after his actions I still have a feelings(

So I will skip big part of story and jump on April 2018 when I first put my feet on American land.

 

You know...our relationship never was fine. All the time was something what caused fights. But I swear our first fight was on the next day when my husband got pissed because I ate 5 cookies. Seems. That I shouldn't eat as much.

Next fight was on a fifth day.

And you may ask why I didn't run away immediately? I thought that it just differences between countries. I thought that everything will settle down we will get used to each other and everything will be okay.

 

Somehow we love together but all the time was something what made him not satisfied. 

From October 2018 starts hell.

He was threatening by my deportation almost from the very beginning. But from October it was happening almost every next weekend. 

 

He started be so mean and rude. Stopped control his mouth at all! He called me a , piece of , trash, moron, stupid, idiot and etc.

He want me obey, I should do just everything he wanted! He control all my phone. He took away my card every time I had "bad behavior". He put cameras in his house and even in a living room was online camera and he can see and hear everything we were doing from work!

I was told what to buy. 

Also he was eating separate food. Expensive eggs and meat, salmon, all grass fed products.

 

He was mad that I spent 10$ on my lunch one day but he bought for himself "present  from Santa"-guns on 5-6 K $ 

I was doing everything in the house. Cleaning, cooking, laundry. I was getting up at 3:30 am for make him breakfast, lunch and dinner for work. I was taking care about the kids (His and my sons).

Fir all this 10 months I was in his house he never did anything.

I put sock to sock after washing and drying. All his clothes was bolder or put on a hangers so he never should look for it. 

I was taking away the dust from coffee powder because it was not good with it. I was counting every calories in his meals because  he was in a keto-diet. 

 

I was taking care about my husband as much as I just could. For show him my appreciation that he is working and provide everything for us. I was supportive and loving.

Bug it was never enough!

Last month was just hell!

 I did my own decision (let my husband sleep and went to rake my step-son from school and went to buy some groceries for his food) and I paid for it.

 

He put his hands over me twice. Than left me and my son in a park after taking me to school for pick up my son and tell "figure out how to go back by yourself!"

 

It was my last luck of patience!

 

Its been 3 weeks how me and my son went to shelter. 

 

I want apply VAWA based on emotional and financial abuse.

 

But how do you think will I have any luck with it?

What I'm going provide:

 

-Copy his passport

-Marriage license 

-Utility bills on both names

-Paper from bank about sharing bank accoumt

-Sharing insurance 

-A lot of medical bills

- 100 papers with our text messages where he cussing and threatened me sending home. It's shows that he all the time was blaming me.

- Text essagea with his mom where she tell me that u need shut my mouth and do not touch him.

-Also of course proofs of good faith marriage

Pictures and cards, hotel reservation and tickets from zoo,  aquarium.

poctures from trips and other.

It will be affidavits from friends, therapist, school teacher, shelter.

My police certificate from my  country and I will obtain fe here.

 

Also have text messages without our mutual friends and my step son. With my mother in law where she is telling me thank you for everything.

 

Also I have pictures of my bruisers.

Poctures how he was throwing my clothes from stairs, putting my pillow Andre the door so I should go to sleep on another bedroom. It was his punishment.

Also we had started going through the therapy. So I also have 2 appointment confirmation. Third was canceled and I told to the therapist that he was threatened me if I will tell her that I was in a shelter before and police will be involved it will  be not for good.

 

 

Maybe I forgot something and will add.

 

What can you say? I will be happy to have your advices!

@MGJ_NY Oh my word!! That is way out of processing time!! They're already working on September 17, 2018!!! I don't know what to advice at this point except to be patient please, they can't hold on to the EADs forever, hopefully you receive it before the end of this month.

I thought it was odd but then again I felt with immigration anything can happen..they basically go at their own pace. However my last renewal was just about 3months..hopefully this one goes that fast as well..

Have you filed it to VSC? 

I filed mine in july but to NBC because of my attorney. 

I wanted to file it to VSC coz i have been searching and reading this precious advice specified on VAWA on this forum. 

However my immigration attorney who is not specifically working on VAWA cases of course insisted that we have to file to NBC since it is under “pending 485” section which kinda made sense, plus she is an ATTORNEY!! In her office. So what can I do? Not even paying a penny. Let her do her job and today I still have no EAD. 

 

So I got an advice from this forum to refile it to Vermont this time, 

she asked me to do infopass instead of filing it again. 

I tried to get it every midnight. No can do. So I just told her that USCIS CUstomer service guy told me that refiling will be faster than waiting exsisting one to be transferred. 

my attorney and I filed renewal last week to VSC this time. 

 

I also requested for outside normal processing time thingy. 

They confirmed the request with all that conf. Number? And said i can expect reply by jan.31. 

I still havent got any of email or text message. 

 

I hope VSC can just start all over and send the new receipt number.

I’ve been really trying to be patient and staying positive that i still have the 180 day extension. Hope you get yours faster! 🙏
