I was married to Usc citizen , Β I had pervious 485 still pending based on marriage case , I went to interview by myself and asked USCIS to reschedule interview when my Ex refused to Appear with me to interview . Since that time pervious 485 still pending until now . after that I filed 360 after vawa got approved I filed new 485 based on vawa approved and we got divorced .

Now I received g 56 from local office .

They asking me to bring Everything with me to this appointment and all papers.

It's says on the letter also if your eligibility issued on marriage you must bring your husband or wife with you . Β  Β In addition to the later it says ( Notice if your beneficiary member is currently in removal processing before the immigration court you still must appear to this interview ) .(Action by USCIS on the above I 130 petition is necessary for immigration Court to resolve and take appropriate action on your family members removal cases) .

And they asking me to go to this interview ask for immigration services officer and the reason for this interview 485 application adjustment status .

Β

Does this letter is for interview 485 ?

What will happen now ?

Please advise and help .

I appreciate .

Maybe this is form the previous I485 and not the one form Vawa? Just thinking load and positiveΒ

@sandranj we need help over hereπŸ™ my dear sis..you obviously do not have an attorney..most people get one when a G-56 is involved. From your narrative above, this recent action may have sprouted based on the previous i485 you left pending..and has nothing to do with the new one. Why did you even file a new one..you would have done what most folks do and put it on hold in view of the 1360 being adjucated. I would like to hear from sandra concerning this matter. Do you think your ex has gone behind you to make you look bad? If the i485 was tilted toward vawa..they wouldn't listen to him..but because you filed a new one....I'm not sure it would have that privacy immunity...

It can be resolved easily if you hire a seasoned immigration attorney as I wouldn't advice you do the explanation yourself. It may be as easy as informing them you have an approved Vawa and a new i485..but that should be a task your attorney would take on..it's their area of expertise. Put your mind at rest and look for a good legal representive..whatever you do appear for the summon with your attorney.

On this letter G56 It show the receipt number for new 485 .Β

oh I see.. But still go with an attorney. It may have the new i485 receipt number but it might be the actions of the previous i485 you left pending. The situation might have looked to immigration like your ex refused to appear with you to your aos interview then you jumped on vawa...I strongly advice you equip yourself with an attorney. A good one. Start searching.

Ok great you have an attorney..hear him or her out put your mind at rest. There's no situation that doesn't have a solution..there have been succesful outcomes to this kind of situations..i did a quick research..its just a matter of closure..immigration needs closure..once the gap is filled you're in the clear.

Is that interview for 485 ?

I was going by what I read online on google, most people who received the G56 said it was an additional interview, with about 120 questions (which may make or break a case), and they all said that they were advised to go with an attorney. I'm not completely sure, so let's see what Sandranj has to say about it.

It's not fair that after everything many people have suffered and endured for so many years, that they are still subjected to this type of treatment, it's not right at all.

Β

Sending positive energy and prayers your way. God will give you victory.

I saw that information as well..matter of fact there are conflicting informations concerning G-56 most say its stokes interview..others call it ICE form..etc..it's not entirely a second interview situation as xoxo hasn't even done a first one.. I would say it's majorly to detect abnormality as it concerns the legal status adjustment...it's nothing fervent prayers and a sound attorney couldn't clear up. Relax dear😊 this too shall passπŸ™
