Hello. I'm new here, I filed in Aug 29 2017. I haven't heard nothing since I filed. Is this normal? Is there any Aug filer in the same situation? Thank you

I believe they are processing now still April-July 2017, I haven't seen approvals from August yet. Stay Strong and have faith, yours is coming soon 🙌

Thanks. I didn’t receive courtesy letter as yet becuz I had gotten initial evidence request for copy of my original birth certificate and the lawyers are taking forever to send 1 simple document as that. They are so basic they didn’t send it initially.

keep us posted, I hope it comes soon...according to  others timeline it takes average 4-5 months from approval date to get  notification for medical and interview 😍 getting closer 🙌

@Favoured Queen👑 thank you for your response.. The wait is frustrating. This is my 17th month without Ead.. I'm on c31....

I know... mine took 17 months and 4 days to get answer under I765(c31) and I360, it is very hard but we must be grateful we have the opportunity to be inside the system 😁

Hello everyone, I hope you are having great weekend'

I was wondering if anybody can help me with the link to the police clearance certificate form, i read online they will ask for the form if i call to schedule appointment.

Thank you.

You just need to go to Police Department to ask for the Clearance Letter, some PD charge $5 or $10 for the letter but others $0  depending where you live.

Do you have to be at the local police department to get the police clearance report? What if I live in another state?

Sample: in my case they asked me a police clearance from all that cities I had lived so I gather all of them, were 5 cities 2 of them from different States

Hi @sandranj can you give me any advice on vawa cancellation of removal. I just went to my master hearing and have another in September. I’m wondering if I can do the cancellation of removal on my own since my vawa was prepared my an attorney

Vawa cancellation should be your second choice if I360 denied. Why wouldn’t you ask to put your case docket on hold until your I360 approve?  So you could adjust status in front of the judge.

Please read this....

Unless you believe you have a very strong case of battery or extreme cruelty by your USC spouse, I would suggest that you focus on the I-360 because the Vermont Service Center is much more sympathetic and the standard of proof is much lower, requiring only "any credible evidence". If it is approved, you can then file an I-485 with the IJ. The VAWA cancellation is much harder to obtain because you need to show extreme hardship, among other things.

Thank you for your response. I had my master calendar of feb 5 and the lawyer told me to just ask for more time to retain an attorney. I go back in sept. How do I go about puttin it on hold ?

Bvz yhe lawyer told me to not make any mention of vawa when I go to court until I retain her

I have a stupid question:

Isn't vawa and I360 the same thing? Why would a denial of i360 lead to a vawa cancellation? What's vawa cancellation?
