Called to expedite earlier, received an email just a few hours later that acknowledges my request, and then says this:

"The status of this service request is:
We received your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly. "

Anyone with experience expediting know whether this means they don't want evidence because they're already dealing with my case today, or whether they're gonna ask me for evidence soon?

Sending good vibes to my December friends from sunny NoVA!

Had our AOS Interview 05/30/2019,the process was very smooth and painless. The IO was super nice, it felt more like a conversation than interview. She asked us for some pictures which we provided, we had more than 30 pictures of us, us with family and with family friends. She went through all of them and she kept them and put them in our file.

Like a lot of people who have had their interview have said already, if you guys are truly married and live together then the interview will be very smooth.

Today 06/01/2019, we received a text message stating  that our case was approved.

Good luck to all who are still waiting for their interviews.

Try and check the App Store➡️Tap your account ➡️Purchased. Try to search it there. It might show up. I deleted mine a few months ago, and then when I went to download on App Store I couldn’t find it. But I did find it in Purchased. Hope it still work. 😕

Thank you. I found it this way. :)

Long time lurker and first time poster. After 154 since PD (12/21/18) I finally have an update. Not the one I was hoping for as I got a RFIE but I'm happy that it is at least being looking at.

Just an update. Seems they were missing birth certificate for me, and missing proof of income for my USC spouse. I'm shaking my head because I know those were sent in with the packet. I don't know how they could be missing those.

Of course with me being super organized, I already had all those documents scanned and in printed in duplicate at the time of putting together my packet with the exception of 2018 tax returns because I submitted it like months ago now. Time taken for me to respond could not be quicker. I got the letter in the morning, I spent the next 30 minutes reading and rereading to make sure I understood what I had to provide, I spent 30 minutes drafting a letter partially for me to know what I'm gathering and to let USCIS know what I've got and why, I gathered up the documents within 30 minutes after that, I then cross checked the pile of documents to the letter, I signed the letter, clipped the packet together and shoved it into a USPS priority express envelope. It was sent 3:30pm that very same day. According to tracking it arrived the next day as expected. :D

Now the waiting begins again. It's just waiting for USCIS... sigh...

I submitted an EAD/AP expedite request back in February, I got an email the next day immediately declining it. The exact wording was:

The status of this service request is:

Due to the high volume of expedite requests for this case type, we are strictly enforcing the criteria that has been set for these expedite requests. While your situation appears serious, you have not provided evidence of an extreme emergent need.

I can't say for sure, but I imagine they're at least still considering it, as they can and will decline requests right away. Good luck!

Thanks so much! I actually received that exact wording today but it was in response to the AP request. The EAD request was the one where I got the reply on Friday, so now I'm not sure whether they're declining both or whether the EAD is still under review...hopefully my congressman's office representative will be able to get more details.

This has me kind of worried as we don't have any evidence like this since my husband still doesn't have an SSN.  EAD has still not come through (and the processing dates just jumped from late Oct BACKWARDS to Sept 18!!!) Because of that we have been unable to get a joint bank account, all bills are in my name and he bought the house with inheritance and it is only in his name.  I think the only thing we have with both our names is the insurance bill. The only other evidence I am thinking might be useful is that we attended a marriage course for which we will get a certificate and we have friends that will vouch for our relationship. Online it says they have scheduled an interview for us but will have to wait to receive to letter to know when it is.

You might want to check around at different banks. We are in the same boat for some things, but my bank let us create a joint account even without a SSN. I bank with PNC. It gave us at least one thing. and We filled taxes jointly with an ITIN.

My interview was scheduled today. kinda shocking knowing my office is a slow one. I'm starting to get nervous as I will have to start working on putting together all the paperwork. If anyone can give me pointers or list of things they asked about, other than wedding pics. Anything is helpful. Much Appreciated.....as I wait for the instructions in the mail. Thanks!
