LOL this is true. That's why I'm not 100% confident in buying the ticket yet

Getting trip insurance for your flight and/or booking a changeable fare would be good choice too.

IMO hunny, I'd wait or get insurance...you never know even after you get it if it will have the correct info on it and then you'd have to take time to correct it.

Talked to a very pleasant and apologetic lady on the phone about my AOS status. When I try checking it over the phone it says "this file cannot be found in our automated system," and it's been that way for almost a month, ever since it changed to "ready to be scheduled." She told me it's there and all is well, but it's still at the NBC, and has not been transferred to my local office...great. Time to keep on with the cooking, hiking, netflix and chilling...and hope that I get my EAD/AP in time to go home for our second wedding in Canada at the end of the summer!

Ah, wow! That sounds frustrating. I'm glad it's all well. And yes, keeping busy I think is a good way to avoid stressing too much. I'm trying to do the same.

My little brother is getting married in Canada on June 8 and I am SO hoping I have my AP in time to go for that. I know I'm cutting it close.

Hello everyone, I really appreciate  this community as it sort of gave me an idea of situation with this complicated process. My husband woke me up today saying that our case was updated and is now set to "interview is scheduled". I'm very excited. We had filed in late December days. I'm waiting for mail with instructions, but meanwhile, do I have to get my medical exam done or is that for later?

p.s MY EAD card is still pending.

Lucky you! All the best

Guys I have been thinking about my biometrics.

USCIS mailed me RFIE on January 28 before  I went for my biometrics appointment on February 5 to have my fingerprints taken.

Do you thinkNBC did received my fingerprints despite having RFIE?

I got an RFIE for my parents GC applications too around beginning of Jan and replied around end of jan. No update on any application(1-485, Ead nor AP) the wait is eating me up. I hope I get an update soon.

I can imagine that. All we can do is to wait and wish for a good news. I am getting beyond frustration. But I am hopeful that very soon we will see progress on our cases

Hello again, my husband and I have been waiting for my AP since we are planning to go out of the country by end of July, now that my AP says its approved on the website, but it's not on hand yet, is it safe to buy the ticket now?  the longer we wait, the higher the ticket prices are going up. I assume between now and end of July I would have the AP on hand ?

I am waiting for my parents AP as well ,so we can go attend my brothers wedding in August. Congrats on ur approval. I hope I receive their approvals soon. Fingerscrossed

Today I received the approval notice in the mail for EAD and AP, I thought the card is with it LOL. I didn;t know it's going to be mailed separately. How long does it usually take to get the actual cards?

It will be a combo card. A week or so.

I got my notices yesterday and card was mailed to me yesterday according to USPS informed delivery. It got at my post office this morning, but didn’t make it to my place. It says delivery around 22nd April, probably due to Easter.

I guess my Easter bunny is coming later...😂😂
