@K1visaHopeful Ohhh, thank YOU for clarifying that! I was sort of surprised when it came in the mail today because I haven't heard anything about it here before.

I was panicking a little bit as well on my end, but happy to hear it's par for the course when AOS-ing from a TN.

Guys I have been thinking about my biometrics.

USCIS mailed me RFIE on January 28 before  I went for my biometrics appointment on February 5 to have my fingerprints taken.

Do you thinkNBC did received my fingerprints despite having RFIE?

Yes, its two different processes. Your bio and your rfe arent affecting each other.

Hello again, my husband and I have been waiting for my AP since we are planning to go out of the country by end of July, now that my AP says its approved on the website, but it's not on hand yet, is it safe to buy the ticket now?  the longer we wait, the higher the ticket prices are going up. I assume between now and end of July I would have the AP on hand ?

I actually received our AP about 1 1/2 weeks after approval. We only got the AP approval but no EAD yet. We got the AP approval and then a week later an update said the document was produced.  After that update we received the document 3 days later. If you get an update to say document was produced than I think you should be safe.  That is my experience but who knows with USCIS.  Everything is usually up in the air with them. Hope this helps.:D

Thanks. LOL but my updates are weird, it actually started from "card is being produced" to "case approved" so who knows. I guess I'll wait to be sure

I would think you should be well in the clear to book tickets for the end of July! Technically USCIS has 30 days to send you the documents, but you're well within that cautionary range.

Coming from someone who missed a flight due to USCIS being unpredictable, I would highly suggest getting trip insurance for your flight and/or booking a changeable fare. This will relieve you of A LOT of stress if, god forbid, you don't receive the document in time.

Hope this helps! Have an amazing trip!

LOL. I have seen similar posts with the same updates.  That would probably be best. Just sign up for informed delivery so you know what mail comes in that day.  That is how I found out my AP document was in the mail. No update that the document was mailed.

My updates where the same. “Card being produced” & then “Case approved”

Just got an email and SMS with status “Card mailed to me” a few minutes ago.

Email says “You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.”

According to this you might be safe to book the flights
