Hey guys, our case was received on December 30th. We had our biometrics appointment on January 30th. We still haven't received any case updates. On the USCIS website, our case status is still showing as "Case was Received" and "Fingerprint fee was Received." Should we be concerned? I was expecting at least an update on an interview schedule, but nothing yet 😟

My PD is December 5th, still nothing. Ead takes from 4.5 to 6.5 months to be approved, Interview depends on your local field office. Mine for example shows from 14 to 23 months.

Check your local field office and see what it says.

Also please fill your timeline, it can help everyone.

Bleh, I just got an update from VJ that is estimating my EAD at May 20.

My TN expires on May 21... Still no updates for me aside from "fingerprint fee received" and "case received"...

I just got an email from VJ with estimated dates for my AP and EAD. They are June 9 and June 11.

however VJ’s timeline function on the website is estimating my AP and EAD for May 9-May 20.

Any idea whats happening here? I’ve never gotten a formal email estimating my date from VJ before.

Hi everyone, I just checked my cases and this appeared. I’m assuming it’s for my EAD or AP,  I’d have to check my receipt number when I get home. Usually, how long does it take until the EAD/AP card arrive after I get this update? Thanks so much x

yes, congrats! You will get a letter in a few days and then a card. I think maybe 10 days the most.

Morning everyone! Something unbelievable just happened, I woke up to my status being “ready to schedule an interview “. This is considering timelines are 14-22 months in Sacramento. I filed in December 2018. Can’t believe it....

I’m just curious what is the timeline from here, is it possible I’ll sit with this status for months, or does it usually change to “interview has been scheduled “ pretty quick? Thanks!!!

RTSAI, means that your case has reached your local field office to sit in line for an interview now. Processing time lines on USCIS for your LFO will indicate how long you may have to wait for an actual interview.

On Saturday, I received my approval for my work permit. I Sent it off to USCIS at the end of the year, it’s all a big surprise to myself and my wife. So exciting!  Still nothing updated on the new website but on a case tracker app it said my green card interview has been scheduled as well!

Cant wait till all this stuff is over !

Local field office: Cincinnati, OH

12/20/18: Mailed AOS / EAD / AP package

12/31/18: NOA1

1/14/19: RFE sent by USCIS

1/15/19: Biometrics

1/18/19: RFE received in mail

1/18/19: mailed RFE response

1/24/19: RFE receipt by USCIS

3/25/19: Ready to be scheduled for interview

3/28/19: AOS interview scheduled notification

4/1/19: AOS interview scheduled letter received in mail

5/9/19: AOS interview

A couple notes:

  • The "ready to be scheduled for interview" notification popped up on my phone via the Case Tracker app around 11:30pm eastern time. It showed in the app and on the old site right away but took a few days to appear on the new site.
  • I did not receive a notification for "interview scheduled." I just happened to refresh the app and saw it there.
  • We have not received any updates on the EAD / AP applications that we sent in concurrently with the AOS. In the app, they both still say "case was received" and the latest update is from 12/21/18. Similar to some others, we went straight to the green card without getting the EAD

Good luck everyone.
