Quick question here.  We just received a notification from the USCIS that the interview for my wife and her 2 kids has been scheduled.  We have plans today to travel to Washington DC to renew her passport and file for Report of Marriage at the Philippine embassy.  We called USCIS and spoke to a Tier 2 agent and she stated that is has been sent to be scheduled, but no date has been set and that it could be a few months before one is actually scheduled.  Knowing that getting the passport back could take 60 days, is it safe to assume that, in fact, the interview date has not been set?  I take everything coming out of the USCIS with a grain of salt, and want to make sure we are being given proper information.

As far as I know there is a difference between “Interview ready to be scheduled” and “We scheduled Your interview”. Read the notice carefully. If yours is the second one, they give you a deadline as to when you should be receiving the appointment date in the mail. If it is the first one, then yes, it could be a few months and there is no telling how long you will have to wait.

It's stating "My Interview was Scheduled" stating they will mail our interview notice and to follow the directions.  This changed from Interview ready to be scheduled.

Then likely you will be interviewed within the next few months if not within a month.

Agreed with K1visahopeful. The appointment letter usually comes in the mail within one week of your status changing on their website, maybe a little longer if there are public holidays in between. But if you don’t hear from them in three weeks, maybe you should call them again to make sure there were no delivery issues.

Hi guys.  Hope you are all doing wonderful.

Today I woke up to this.

Is it a significant advisory that may lead to an interview notice soon or another 6months can go by? I am in NJ.  Anyone else?

Thanks !

This is an automated email sent weekly or so by USCIS when there’s no updates on your case

edit: you can disable it on the settings option on your account

I had two emails like that in the past month. Usually it happens when you change the notification on your uscis account to ON. It happened as soon as I turned it on.

Update to this.  Received the letter in the mail and it's stating that in fact the interview was scheduled.  Interview date set for April 2.  We ended up in DC over the weekend to renew my wife's passport.  Now just praying it's returned in time for the interview.

Nope! Never received my EAD at all. I guess that happens sometimes. I’m ok with that though. I’m thrilled that after 7 months from applying we will have our interview 😊

Did the date in this email match the date listed on your USCIS account page for your application? I just received the same email but the date in the email says 2/12/19 while the latest update on my account page is from 1/24/19.
