Oh Sorry! I forgot to mention.. I'm the US citizen here.😅

Hahah

in this case, you do not have much problem.

Since you have a us passaport, they do not have reason to stop you, because you did not change you married name.

 If you do not say nothing about it, probably they will not know about it.

Some airlines like KLM, AirFrance, Delta have a thing that you can get an economy standard ticket (not economy light, which is the cheapest) and you can eventually change the dates with a fee of 150USD or so. I did that in the past, you don't have to provide any justification. I don't think they do any background check on your passport number to see if you have bought any ticket. Also you can add your travel info (passport number etc) even 72 hours before the flight, so I wouldn't worry about USCIS background check.

This is very helpful, thank you so much! I totally didn't think of this option and will check it out :)

They received our AOS package on December 21st. He had his biometric appt in Detroit on January 8th. We haven't heard anything since then.  What website are you checking for updates on? Is it the same one we used with the original k1 visa? What case number do we use? The wac? Or a different one? Thanks so much❤

Hey guys!

I submitted an EAD expedite over the phone today based on severe financial loss and a pending job offer that I’m wanting to accept.

The person I spoke to had me make a statement explaining why I wanted the expedite and said they would attach this to my request and that I should hear something back by Feb 24, and that the request will expire in 30 days..

Has anyone else who requested expedition had this experience? I asked if he needed me to fax through my job offer or any additional evidence and he said it may not be required and just to wait until Feb 24 🤔

You should receive notice that your expedite request was received. If they request you to send documents they will do so afterwards. If not they will either deny or approve your expedite.

Adjusting status from K1 to a permanent residence. My  AOS application package was received by the USCIS, National Benefits Center, Missouri  on December 31st, 2018 but I don't know whether to consider myself as a December or January filer.

This is how far my application has got to;

12/312018 Submitted application to USCIS

1/15/2019 Received Receipts for application from USCIS

1/18/2019 Received Appointment Notice from USCIS

1/28/2019 Received RFE notice from USCIS

2/5/2019 Biometric Appointment done

2/12/2019 USCIS received my RFE reply

Now my status on USCIS is;

USCIS has received my RFE response for form I-485 and with my form I-131 and I-765 is case has been received.

Waiting is frustrating. When do I get approval for EAD/AP?

Now waiting to hear from USCIS.
