I FINALLY got my 'denial' letter from my local SSA office. They truly were about as useful as a chocolate teapot. I had a call on Saturday to say that no one had passed my application onto the 'specialist' colleague to process my SSN application for the whole 13 weeks... they said "please please please come back when you have your EAD or GC"

So done with that part of this process, a total waste of time & has multiple knock on effects for other things ie. joint bank accounts, filing taxes married jointly etc.

Nope. I give up. My EAD should be here next month. I have my bank account and health insurance. I wont be nice next time i have to go in there so I'm taking a breather and trying to change my attitude towards them.

Two months since USCIS accepted our documents. Waiting game continues, case status didnt changed since that. 😀

Ergh.. just incredibly frustrating! Im on my husbands health insurance luckily.

1 month after biometrics, still nothing changed in my status and says "fingerprint fee received"

Two and a half months since my biometrics and still the same status here.

Conclusion: status updates are bunk🤷‍♀️

I wish we were one of the lucky ones who got an interview date after 1 month of waiting! lol

Posting about our progress. Like I said January 31 my status changed to "interview scheduled". We received the interview notice in the mail yesterday (February 7) and the interview will take place March 7 in Boston.

 

The notice listed all the documents we need to bring and added that we don't need to bring I-693 if we already submitted it with K1. It also says we don't have to bring the affidavit of support (plus evidence) if we already submitted it. I think I'm going to print it out and have it with me just in case. 

 

Evidence wise--we already share health insurance, but we're also going to create a joint bank account to have more evidence. Since I'm not working all the bills are in my husband's name. However we know each other for 4 years so we have plenty of photos of families meeting etc.. In addition to the marriage certificate of course 😃

Super lucky! Being the same office, im still praying i get an interview soon too
