Is there anyone has walk-in Biometrics in USCIS Grand Rapids?

so my biometrics appointment is January 22 on 3pm.

unfortunately my husband have another important meeting on the exact time.

is it worth it to come early on the appointment day,? so he still can drive me to do Biometrics

Hey All!

So we got NOA1 on 12/20. Had Biometrics 01/09.

Received request for initial evidence on the affidavit of support, saying my wife doesn't earn more then the poverty guideline for our household size (2).

Surprised us as it is over 300% the guideline. She was a student last year so we sent in; VOE and several paystubs confirming how much she now earns. However the RFE states we didn't show she earns enough.

Anyone else have this happen? or tips?

thanks

Just been to my husbands bank, cant add me because no SSN.. I knew it would happen.

The ongoing fiasco with SSA continues 🙄

Nothing more frustrating than doing everything by the book & still having a problem at the end.

I was having the same issue too with my husbands bank. Chase bank allows you to open one without a social security you’ll just need to visit a branch with ID :)

Going to inquire with another bank for sure... really hoping this isnt going to affect my AOS interview when it gets to that point... as proof of relationship 😕

Maybe try Simple Bank? https://www.simple.com/shared-account

You should be able to just go as long as you bring your appointment letter. I went a week early and security was kinda rude to me but they still let me do it. If you have the biometrics letter you can go before you appointment date so I’d go ASAP as to speed up the process a bit

We got our interview appointment letter everyone!  It is on February 19th!  We are excited this is way much quicker then we every thought it would be. So ready to get this over with and behind us.

@Tokenfreak i thought youre a november aos filer 😂😂 did you lost your way to the November thread? Haha just kidding

Congrats on the quick progress of your application. Mine also took less than 3 months for interview date from the date we file our aos application.  Good luck @Tokenfreak for your upcoming interview.

To be honest I am not sure which group I belong to lol. I did file in November, but my notice date is Dec. 3rd. So depending on which date I go with I can belong to either group haha.  I assume if everything goes well we will go straight to a green card and skip the EAD/AP combo card right?

Ok cool.  So I just read your review of your interview and I have one question?  Did you stand or sit for the oath?  We are dumb too and not sure what the proper way to do it is lol.
