Intial evidence request documents sent off! Now back to the waiting game 🤞🏻

Hey! Good luck!

Is that normal with AOS to get the RFE that fast, or you guys just got lucky?:)

I know that it depends, but it seems to be different than K1 process.

Our case number just turn from ready to schedule interview to interview is scheduled!  Waiting on it to come in the mail to see when the interview is.  This was really quick so far...much quicker then 1 year.

Wow. That was fast. Is that normal? Congrats btw. :)

Also, as I said, I had my Biometrics on Dec 31st and still no updates. You guys said it is normal. Does That mean that I am in line to get the interview scheduled, even if I don't get the update saying "case ready to schedule the interview"? Is calling USCIS unnecessary?

I saw some people never got an interview. Is that possible? Is that a thing?

Good luck to everyone :)

You will be "in line" for an interview once your case is transferred to your local FO.

You can check out your processing times for Seattle but most of these filers who have "case ready to schedule etc" are from fast, underpopulated FOs. Calling USCIS will result in nothing if you have not passed the enquiry date at your LFO.

All K1s will get an interview. New policy implemented last year.

Thank you so much for your prompt response, but I unfortunately understood half of what you said. Sorry, but I am not super used to the gergo.

For processing times for Seattle you mean processing times for the i-485 that I find on the USCIS website?

What is the inquiry date?

Yes I mean the processing times for the I485 for Seattle that you find on the USCIS processing times website. In this moment they give an estimate of 8 to 20.5 months for Seattle and the I485 (I just checked for you).

If you scroll further down that page you will see the date they are currently working on for family based AOS applications. For Seattle, today they are working on Feb 21st, 2017 so you can only make an enquiry if your PD (NOA1 receipt date) was before that.

Thank you for checking.

I am not expecting to have the GC in my hands today. I just want to know if at least my case is "in line" for the interview, aka if it has been transferred to Seattle. Even if I know there are 2million cases in front of mine. I am just trying to understand if I don't get any updates is because my case has not been transferred to Seattle and it is not "in line" or if Seattle just doesn't update its system often.

You "should" get the update "case is ready to be scheduled etc" when it has been transferred your LFO.

PS if you watch the inquiry date at the bottom of the USCIS processing times page for the I485 for Seattle, you will see it advances daily.

Biometrics appointment scheduled for Jan 25.  A couple of questions.  In addition to my wife, her kids also received appointments (K2 ages 10 and 9).  I thought only children 14 and over were required to do biometrics.  Does anyone have any experience?  Also, I will be coming back from an overseas trip on that day.  Since she still cannot obtain her drivers license, she was going to Uber over to the USCIS office.  She noticed that she cannot bring her cell phone with her.  Again, any experience where she needs the cell phone in order to order Uber?  Thanks for any help you can provide.

At my appointment I saw children as young as 5 being fingerprinted.

Also at mine, you could bring your phone in but it had to be off.

Hi Guys! I just called the SSN office and they said because now I'm out of status (01/09) they can't issue me a card. The save case website said that they received an answer way before my I-94 expired and now the SSN are claiming they didn't, so that means I have to wait until my EAD arrives which is BS. Have you guys encountered any case like mine? Do you know what to do next? This is so frustrating! 🤬
