Biometrics appointment completed today; the place was completely empty.

 

I was the only one there; in and out in less than 10 minutes.

So we sent our package on Dec 17th and today finally got our NOA messages. EAD/AP says they did receive it Dec 18th. I-485 says they processed the fingerprint fee on Jan 8. What dates should I use for my timeline as NOA? Today's date? Or received date?

Soon you will get your paper NOA in the mail. It will have a date. Mine PD was exactly when they recieved my documents. So I supposed your is Dec 18th. Just wait for hard copy in the mail and you will see:)

Thanks for posting.  We are still waiting for ours sent December 23.  I'm on hold for a tier 2 rep at USCIS now, but maybe ours is stuck in a pile like yours! - Jason

Tier 2 said I had to email lock box support.  It can take 2 weeks for a response.

Thank you I did check your timeline after I ask that question😁. PD means priority date. Anyway congrats and good luck

A heads up in you are in New Jersey and are scheduled for Elizabeth or Hackensack.

My biometrics appointment is for Friday 11th in Hackensack, NJ. I tried walk-in yesterday because it was very early and I had a conflict, and they did not accept me. They do not accept walk-ins.
Lady was nice enough to change my time for later though.... Their policy is "Only Emergencies" Not sure what an emergency means for them 😉

I think that the problem is that USCIS (Tier 1 + Tier 2) can't see info on the forms before Lockbox scans it and puts it in the system. That's how they explained it to me, when I kept calling and asking. USCIS can check to see if your forms pop up, but if they can't find anything, they tend to ask you to contact Lockbox. IMO it's very silly, because why can't they (USCIS CS and Lockbox) communicate between each other 😀 Why does a customer have to keep going back and forth between them. 

 

But on a positive note: I got my NOA two days after I e-mailed Lockbox. Maybe it was a coincidence or maybe it helped. So I'm hoping yours will pop up soon!

I hope for the interview too, but really based on state/service office. Many cents/states get theirs within 2 months while some like Chicago around 11months. So ridiculous.. Well, I really need the EAD/AP now, they can then take their time with AOS.

Hey pretty girl! I received my mail for AOS interested today. It will be on Feb 11, 2019. Wheewww! Was starting to wonder if I will wait that long for the schedule to come but I must say that Cincinnati is pretty fast. I hope and pray that you received your schedule soon.😘😘😘😘
