For those who have recently mailed in their I-485/I-765/I-131, has anyone sent it via fedex? I sent my package via fedex to the fedex/ups/dhl address listed on USCIS' website (not the POBOX but the 131 South Dearborn, 3rd floor address).

Has anyone else sent their package via fedex? How long did it take for them to notify you that it was received/or to cash your check? I sent my package via fedex thinking it'd be better than USPS with it being so close to the holidays. Fedex notified me that the package was delivered on Dec 13 at 10:26 AM. I still have no text or email notification and my check hasnt been cashed yet either. I know others that got a text 4 days after it was delivered (but that wasn't fedex).

I saw some other blogs that say that only the PO BOX deliveries get an electronic notification, or some that say FedEx takes longer. I thought I was doing a good thing getting it out of basic mail during this season :(

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, starting the stress game again lol..

Thanks for sharing! Did you send it via FedEx? So I guess it took them 8 days from the date it was delivered to open yours/cash the check. At least a cash checked is a good sign! :)

I also sent mine via UPS to the Dearborn street address on the 12/10 and it was received on the 12/12 and only we received the texts yesterday, so there’s a possibility you’ll get yours tonight ☺️

We didn’t receive any sort of electronic notification either and also thought sending it via UPS or FEDEX may be quicker but it seems it’s much of a muchbess if not a little slower.

Hang in there! Hope you get those text notifications tonight!

I used FedEx..

It took 5 days to be delivered, then another 2 days to get notifications.

Don't worry, you will be notified soon.

Oh wow that's so strange because this time around, all the documents are basically coming from us (the beneficiary) except the I-864 technically. Then again, nothing surprises me anymore lol! I guess I'll tell hubby to keep a look out for texts on his end as well. Thanks again for the positiveness!

I sent I486/I765/I130/I864 to the filing address for the I485.... You mean I need to file all these forms separately?

*I131.

No you dont mail them separately. They all get filled out and then:

1)I485 and I864 are combined in one binder clip.

2)I765 in another binder clip.

3)I131 in another binder clip.

EACH of the three packages get their own Cover letter stating what is enclosed in each package.

AND THEN you put them all in one envelope and send them to the direct filing address for I485 to Chicago using the correct address depending on what method of shipment you use.

I didn't do that. I did one packet with one cover letter with all required documents as per instructions on the website.  You think they need duplicate copies of the passport, k1 visa, noa2, i-94, all that repeated x 3???
