Is anyone here who is waiting for AoS processing in Charlotte or knows about a group of AoS filers in Charlotte? I recently relocated to Charlotte and am unable to find Charlotte AoS filers forum.

I've not seen any forum for any specific LFO on here.

Search "Charlotte" in VJ search or message Charlotte filers individually?

I have seen specific LFO forums that’s why was asking. I’m still searching

I searched too with no luck.

Like I said, if you use the member search engine for only those processing I485s at Charlotte and message them, you may get lucky.

Hey, how do you talk to a USCIS rep? What number do we call to talk to tier 1 or 2. I have the uscis contact centre number but never know how to get hold of a person. What options do I select?

They change the functions all the time so I cant say if this works anymore but to talk to a tier one you go to the option to input your receipt number and then pretend you dont have one. Then you plead your case to a Tier 1 to ask for a Tier 2. The phone number is the same.

Yeah, that’s what I was trying but they keep repeating the same prompt and it leads nowhere 😬

Charlotte filer here
We filed in March and I will have my interview this month.
A couple of March/ April filer got their interview dates recently. 
However, I also do not know of a Charlotte group.

Press 1, 1, 2, 2. If you call at 8am EST you'll get a Tier 1 pretty quickly. Good luck!

Hello everyone!

 

How many people is struggling with EAD i AP still?

 

I completed the online inquiry on 08/01/2019 and I haven't received an answer still. Last week I called USCIS and heard the greatest stupidity. Tier 2 tried to prove to me that my case is in normal processing time and the website is only for pending I-485. I was completely shocked and said that my case is pending since December / January and he said that the processing time on the webside doesn't include my case. Total nonsense! He said I don't have EAD and AP because AOS takes more time and that's why I have to wait longer. We apply after EAD and AP because AOS takes more time not the opposite! I tried to have a normal and intelligent conversation with tier 2 but he answered the same as some machine.

 

I feel helpless and consider employing an immigration lawyer.

Many November filers just started receiving EAD/AP cards or getting interviews scheduled, so my guess is that you might receive good news soon. 

 

Hiring an immigration lawyer would not help.

No idea what that operator is on about. Call them again and see if you can get to someone different because that operator doesn't know what they're doing. When prompted for case number, did you enter the EAD's number or the AOS's number?

 

I'm still waiting for my EAD since October. They ignored my first service request sent in July. I called them last week and all they could do was send another saying I'll hear by email within a week (or by letter within 2). Might call them again today or tomorrow, and if it's not good news, time to get politicians and ombudsman involved.
