Hi,

I had my AOS interview on 6/20. It went fine and the officer verbally approved me.

But 3 days later I got a RFE for i-693 even though I had submitted my DS-3025.

Anybody here got a RFE for that reason? I am sending my i-693 form back today with results , RFE letter n cover letter.

Any tips?

What did the RFE say specifically?

We had our interview yesterday and everything went fine but the case officer said they may have to issue us an RFE to verify my wives vaccinations with the Civil Surgeon.

I am confused why we would have to.

I am not sure if our cases are similar. I am still hoping we do not receive an RFE.

We’re in a similar position. No changes on combo card since Dec 17, 2018 - 197 days today 😩

Our only difference is I-485: case is ready to be scheduled for an interview (as of 18 days ago). While it was good to see a sign of life which shows some movement, our LFO is New York and their estimated timeline is 20.5 to 35.5 months so it’s not exactly cause for celebration.

We’re still hoping and wishing for the EAD/AP!

We filed my husband's on 12/10/18 and just got approval for the EAD/AP 6/19/19. Our office is NY as well! It's frustrating how long it all takes to get the green card because I'm pretty sure with the timeline we're going to have to reapply for the EAD/AP and pay a fee all over again. But on the bright side  we did eventually get the EAD approval, hopefully yours will be coming soon after!

Ead fee is waived if filed with or having a pending aos. Same goes for renewal.

Please I will like to know if NBC will be working today?

I am just getting worried because it has been a week and my EAD/AP card has not been mailed to me.

After 203 days my EAD was approved, and the card is being produced!  I'm so excited!

My wife got her new social security card today before getting her work permission. She was approved Monday, so it should come soon.

She is worried because the social security card only shows her first name and new last name (my last name). They did not print her middle name at all.

I hope this will not be a problem. Has anyone had an issue with that?

Definitely she will get her work permit. I don't know why delivery of ead cards that were approved from June 26 to July 3 are facing some kind of delay. I was approved on June 27 and have not received my card yet, not even my SSN.

So let her relax because she will surely have her ead

When did she receive her ssn?

"RM 10205.120 How the Number Holder’s Name is Shown on SSN Card

The number holder’s (NH) first and last name on his or her SSN card must agree with the first and last name shown on the document submitted as evidence of identity or legal name. A middle name or suffix is not considered part of the legal name. It does not matter if the middle name or suffix is included, omitted, or incorrectly shown on an SSN card.

For SSN purposes, a NH’s legal name consists of the first (or given name) and last (or family name or surname) that is used to sign legal documents, deeds, or contracts."
