Contacted my grandma last night, she's going to try and get a letter from the doctor.

If I get a written job offer, would that work as a supporting document towards expediting my EAD?

Possibly.

It depends on who judges your application for the EAD expedite.

Are you undergoing financial hardship and must work to avoid becoming a public charge?

That's the criteria they are SUPPOSED to go by but many will get approved for no reason and with just a job offer letter.

Okay, I see. Well I guess it doesn't hurt to try, especially if it's gonna be a long time before we hear anything from the Dallas LFO.

Thanks so much for everything!

Exactly one month today after my interview for AOS, I finally received my GC today. This phase is over and I look forward to joining the Lifting of conditions group in 2021.

I wish everyone a speedy processing, good luck to y’all.

Sorry if I’m being annoying 😂 Just curious. Is anyone actually getting the combo card? Or is it safe to assume I’m just waiting for my interview and green card at this point? Processing time says 6-8 months for advance parole, and 6.5-8.5 months for EAD, I’m approaching 7 months at this point.

Hello everyone. We recieved a NOA for my wifes AOS interview... we filed her AOS on December 18th, 2018. We figured it would be atleast 18 to 20 months if not more until her interview or I guess our interview haha. My question is, is anyone else already getting AOS interviews from December filers??? I'm just curious. Our interview was scheduled in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We are from Amarillo, Tx and totally thought it would be in Dallas, Tx. Either way we are excited, Oklahoma city is closer to us. My wife has one concern though, does she need an interpreter? She is studying english, but is not by any means competent in english yet. Thanks guys for any response! Have a good day!

Yes, i have Interview on July 18th. In your notice it says bring interpreter if you need too. If she wont understand questions they might sent you home ( happend to one of my friends a few years ago, she had to come back with interpreter later).

Also fill your timeline, VJ members relays on it.

Thanks for the timely response! Congrats, ours is the 31st of July. Does the said interpreter have to be fully licensed? or is this just someone you know and trust that speaks fluent english/spanish? Timeline has been updated. Thanks again.

Nope, any person who fully understand English and in your case Spanish is fine. She took our friend with her and it was fine. Spouse can not be interpreter.

does it matter if the receipt number shows?

Ohhh, yeah... this is a VERY public forum.

Attachment removed from post & replies. :)  All is well.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
