"Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview"

Finally! some movement! Day 185, still no word on EAD yet, but it's something. Anyone know roughly how long till an interview in Dallas?

Are you for sure for sure your local field office is Dallas? If you havent double checked, it would be good to check here using your zip code:

https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices

If you are sure then you will use the USCIS processing times website to monitor your LFO's estimated processing times.

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Dallas is this (on the bottom of the photo) if you are indeed Dallas. Note that where you did you biometrics isnt tied to where you will be interviewed.

My LFO is 11 to 19 months and I got my GC interview in 8 so while it may not be expected to take the full time as predicted it is a good indication that it may take at least that amount of time at the minimum.

Expecting a GC in 6 months may not be realistic at a busier LFO like Dallas (border state) that lists 15.5 to 21 months. More likely closer to the minimum of 15.5, giving a few months to your benefit.

I apologize if this has been asked/answered multiple times before.

Just noticed this update on our case. April 30th is almost 2 months ago now. Any idea how long it is after this notice to get your appointment date and time?! I’m super anxious and ready to get this show on the road. I had planned to ask for my AP to get expedited to see my sick grandfather, but I may not now.

Hello, you will have notice in the mail only after it’s changed to “ Interview was scheduled”. This status still might take a while. Sorry.

Yes, I figured that was the case. I was asking if anyone knew approx. how long it takes after this point. Although an estimate probably doesn’t matter anyway.

Mine was changed from “Ready to schedule..” to “Interview was scheduled” in 12 days. But everyones case is different and local offices different too, so nobody can’t tell exactly when.

Okay, that’s what I thought, just figured I’d ask and see what response I got. Thank you!

It will depend on your local field office and how long their processing times are.

Do you know what yours is?

PS your receipt number is showing 🙈

Oh, does it matter if the receipt number shows? 😬 I’m an idiot, I don’t post on here often, only when the odd question comes up, hahaha.

Local field office is Dallas, so I’ll be waiting a while it looks like. I’m gonna go forward with contacting my congressman regarding getting things expedited. I know that that’s getting backlogged at this point now too, but I have to try everything I can. Otherwise if something happens to my grandpa before I’m able to go home and see him again, I’ll kick myself for not even trying. You never know, right? Sigh.

Really regretting not doing the spousal visa. Oh well.

Yes Dallas FO is a doozy.

I'd try to expedite your AP.

See if your Gpa's doc will write a letter on his prognosis.

And yes, your receipt number is an important number.

Good luck hunny!

Contacted my grandma last night, she's going to try and get a letter from the doctor.

If I get a written job offer, would that work as a supporting document towards expediting my EAD?
