Does uploading the documents make any difference???

we are calling them on daily basis, the only answer we use to hear is it is being in review.

Uploading, Emailing or Mailing does not make any difference. Its just how they want you to submit documents. I was surprised when I was greeted with message to email documents meanwhile everybody else was uploading. So that was kinda shocking to me. Then I did some research and found out that it always depends on case to case.

Did you hired an attorney or lawyer? or did you field this case yourself?  I am just curious why they are saying they are, "reviewing" documents even after more than a month? Even the NVC says it takes 3 weeks to review documents. I would ask same question to NVC that its more than 3 weeks now Why is it taking such long time. What does CEAC site show when you enter Case number?

March 6, 2018: i-130 petition filed.

March 14, 2018: i-130 Petition received. (8 days)

October 15, 2018: i-130 Petition approved. (7 months, 1 day)

October 17, 2018: Case sent to NVC. (2 days)

October 25, 2018: Case received at NVC. (8 days)

December 4, 2018: NVC case# Generated. (1 month, 9 days)

December 5, 2018: Fee paid online. (1 day)

December 7, 2018: DS-261 submitted online and Other documents e-mailed. (2 days)

December 20, 2018: Case closed. (13 days)

January 8, 2019: Interview Scheduled. (19 days)

February 26, 2019: Interview. (49 days) ....Pending....

We have uploaded all the documents.

how did you done yours ???

and yes my husband used to call at nvc but the representative always says your case is being reviewed and will notify you if anything is there.

seeing yours and others timeline i quite feels afraid what is going on with my case, can you please tell me hiw much time right now they are taking to reviewing the documents ???

By thr way thanks for the reply😊

We are petitioning my step kids IR2 child visa, Aleah is my stepdaughter her documents took 12 days to review, Armie is my stepson his documents took 16 days to review after we had RFE request for my divorce decree. After you submit documents it takes 10-20 days to review, if you get a RFE request for additional or replacement documents they remove you from the review queue then when you submit the documents again you start over at the end of the review queue line and takes another 2 weeks to review. NVC rep will always tell you much longer than it actually takes, they do this to deter or discourage you from calling again, I do suggest you call NVC if it has been longer than 21 days since you submit your documents and ask for a supervisor.

Did you sponsor your sister in law? The reply from other Member, "Xiais also valid. They put people back in queue in the name of reviewing documents if you get RFE. So its a loophole on and on. Is the birth certificate in English? Did you have that certificate translated? Because if all other documents are accepted why would they not accept the certificate?

NVC phone reps say it should not take longer than 3 weeks (21 days) to review documents, only call to ask for supervisor if it has been longer than 3 weeks and be very polite do not stress do not show negativity, as they say you get better results with sugar than with salt and vinegar. We did not ask for supervisor since my sons documents were finally accepted after 16 days but we were prepared to call and ask for supervisor if we reach day 22 without review. On day 16 we received the NVC email saying documents were accepted and they will contact the embassy to schedule an interview date.

Dear Armie Xxxx Xxxxxxxx,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas.

NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable).

Please do NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until you have received an immigrant visa from the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General.

The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview. Please visit https://nvc.state.gov/interview for information about immigrant visa interviews.

Regards,
National Visa Center,
U.S. Department of State

I am in india being an applicant/beneficiary and my husband filed a petition where he and my sister-in-law are sponsoring me.

and yes birth certificate is translated in english only. There is no RFE till date. That is why i am tensed because nothing they asked us or no progress at all.

Oh okay. Now I understand your situation. So your husband and sister in law are jointly sponsoring you. If there is no RFE and NVC did not ask for additional documents there should be no issue and no need to be tensed. When you log into CEAC what message do you get?

No specific message, the last I received is when my husband’s aos got accepted.

one more thing I would like to add is when my husband call to nvc the representative says it would take 8 weeks to review  documents.

i don’t know why ???

8 Weeks is to generate case number. 3 Weeks to get documents reviewed once fee is paid and documents submitted.

I would not worry or get tensed since NVC never asked for any additional documents. Now this is what I want to know what exactly do you see when you log in CEAC site? If you can share screen shot of CEAC then do so. Let us see whats going on you can blur the case/ invoice number or names or any other personal info.

Just curious if you are in India, how are you awake this late lol
