https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

It shows me Action required : Submit Documents !?

I don't understand I am planning to call them on Monday for this. Can someone check and confirm if they have similar status ?

Guys, with the government shutdown, will this in anyway affect folks at the nvc? I know nvc is public funding but just curious.

That really scared me. But No I found an answer to your question from last shut down and i quote, "

Department of State

Visa and passport operations are fee-funded and should not be impacted dramatically by the shutdown.   However, decreased staffing levels may impact service and processing levels.    It is unknown at this point, however, whether and how the upcoming Visa Bulletin (due out in early February) will be affected.    With respect to immigrant visa (family, employment, etc.) cases pending at the National Visa Center (NVC), it is possible that they would continue to be processed as NVC’s staffing funding was under contract."'

I also quote other members of this forum with their legit replies to a similar question from member and it does make sense, "jan22 said,

Lots of incorrect or partially incorrect answers in this thread.  If there is a shutdown (which I don't personally think there will be right now--but that's just my opinion), any program that is fee-funded (petition processing, visa processing, etc.) will continue as normal, as long as there are festival available.  These agencies have multi-year funds available to them from the fees, which means they are not tied to fees allocated in a specific fiscal year like other government agencies.

Yes, there are costs associated with having a facility operating, but those costs are included in the calculation when the fees are set -- one of the reasons some people think they are too high, since they think it just covers the actual adjudication process; fees actually cover all of the expenses of personnel, facilities, and processes.  Any perceptions of slowdowns in the processes during a government shutdown are merely that -- perceptions.  There are way too many other factors that influence workload and processing times that people can't account for, so it appears that it is tied to the shutdown when it is not."

Hi everyone,

i received  my Case number and IV number 2nd week of December. I already paid for the IV application and the AOS. However, I’m subject to the 2 years Home residency requirement. it was initially due in May 2019, however since I had to travel a few times for work or some trips with my wife now the end of my 2 Years HRR have moved a few weeks longer. I don’t want to submit everything right away since I don’t want my appointment to be set before I am actually eligible for my CR1. My wife is currently pregnant and she is back in the US. The baby is due in March, should we wait for the baby to come so i can add her information to the IV application? Also  Since I may wait until the end of the summer for my interview should my wife file taxes and then submit the AOS

I’ve waited enough already so I’m not worry about waiting a little more now. However, I don’t want to wait last minute to submit the IV application and the AOS or since I’m having a baby in the middle of the process and also tax filing time is on the way, I don’t want to create delay by not having everything updated at the time of the interview.

Sorry for my English.

Uploaded everything by Dec 21st. Seems like the status is not working correctly, it should not suppose to say upload documents even after we have uploaded required documents. Thanks for confirming :)

So its Bombay. Yes its normal. Even if you submit AOS and then email other documents it will still say that until case close. It takes 10 to 14 days for case close. After Case close, You will receive email from NVC that it will work with Bombay Consulate to schedule interview and CEAC screen changes to this:

I have not emailed any documents.

After I completed IV application in CEAC then I was able to submit Civil documents for my Wife. So everything AOS, IV application, Civil documents have been uploaded to CEAC. It just confusing to see in the status that : "Action required: Submit requested documents"

NVC services are not good because of the delays, Errors in using CEAC, even the payment processing at CEAC shows errors when you try to submit payment :

An error occurred while submitting your payment. Please try again later. Exception - Client found response content type of 'text/plain;charset=UTF-8', but expected 'application/soap+xml'. The request failed with the error message:

So after trying for 2 days I was able to submit my payments. Customer rep had no clue about the errors he suggested to use IE ,  I used google chrome and after repeated tries it went through. He even suggested to only use checking account but that false I paid mine using saving account.

My Lawyer did everything. He asked for my checking account info. Thats what he did. He did uploaded AOS but other documents were emailed because CEAC did said either to email or mail. And after 13 days case is closed. So I am  not sure how did you upload documents. Because i remember seeing CEAC asking either to email or mail.
