Found this Online Lol and I quote,

“Secret Way to Determine NVC Case Complete

On the subject of finding out as soon as possible, do you want to know a secret?  In particular, do you want to know a secret way of finding out your NVC case complete status before NVC informs you by text, email or letter? As a matter of fact, I bet you do.

In particular, here is the way to find out:

  1. Firstly, check your case status through CEACfrequently after sending in your AOS and IV package.
  2. Remember when you paid your AOS fee on-line?  Consequently, the AOS Fee on CEAS changed to “Paid”.
  3. Next, watch the status of the AOS Fee on CEAS.
  4. In the event that the AOS fee status changes from “PAID” to “N/A”, then you most likely have “NVC Case Complete.”

Hi there. For me, I knew when they sent me an email saying with the heading "Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified:" Which I have learned from others that it means you have successfully submitted all required documents and therefore case is closed.

And when I checked online, all documents were accepted.

Oh ok, 7 days ago my step daughters petition got that email "Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentary Qualified" and all her docs accepted

I uploaded all documents on Dec. 6th in the late evening. I signed in to CEAC today to find that all of my documents were accepted except for my marriage certificate 😕 I uploaded the correct document right away and now I'm hoping to hear back very soon. Thankfully I saw the message on the same day it was sent because I never even received an email to check my CEAC messages 😮 Just thought I'd share for others with a similar timeline. Keep checking CEAC!

Thats similar to to what happened my stepsons petition 8 days ago, except for us I didn't upload my divorce decree because I didn't think it was necessary for a child petition and I had already uploaded my marriage certificate as proof I'm married to his mother. I uploaded the divorce decree within 1 hour of the RFE email notice to both my stepson's and stepdaughter's accounts, my stepdaughter's documents were all accepted my stepson's were all accepted except the divorce decree still says submitted.

Still waiting for NVC case number. Will be 5 weeks end of this week. Wonder why it's taking so long.

After NVC received our 2 petitions, it took 32 days till case number was assigned

Hi, I just have a question, if anyone could answer, it would be much appreciated. If ever one of your documents were rejected by NVC and you submitted again the required document, how long would be the response of NVC before they review your case again? Could it be days or a week/s?

We were notified that we were missing my divorce decree for my stepson's petition, so I uploaded the divorce decree within 1 hour 8 days ago and it still shows as submitted, were still waiting for them to review that 1 document and change to accepted all other documents were accepted, yet my stepdaughter's documents were all accepted 7 days ago and received notice they were in process of scheduling her embassy interview.

Once we have submitted all of our documents to the NVC and it just says "submitted" for both, at this stage are we done and do we just wait, or is there some further way to "push" the documents for review. Or in other words, does the NVC automatically know or check when both have submitted all documents.

Ok. I got this in email:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas.

NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MUMBAI (BOMBAY), IND to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable).

Please do NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until you have received an immigrant visa from the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General.”

Does that mean case close? Also strangely my wife’s name includes additional letters like: First Name, Last Name, “lnu”. So I called NVC they said last name wasn’t provided at the time of filing visa. What the Hell.

Bummer! I just called NVC and they confirmed that our case is complete on Dec. 14, 2018 and in line for interview scheduling. Someone asked me earlier how I knew. So it's now reconfirmed.

However, they just told me that they scheduled everything for January so we MIGHT be scheduled in February, even that is not definite. We are Dominican Republic case...I know they are a super busy embassy. Bummer! Was hoping to celebrate our 1 yr anniversary in February, in the USA. Hoping for a miraculous earlier interview than anticipated....

Did you filled her last name because mostly in indian passport they usually dont have last name instead given name include first and last. Its totally fine ,they usually put Inu if there is no last name but this is very normal nothing to worry about.

I have a question.

I received a message from NVC that I should replace I-864 to show the words horizontally on the screen.

After replacing it, I found out small incorrect on form.

However, once I submitted/replaced required document, it seems I can’t delete/replace.

Can I submit new/correct I-864 at additional document section?

Or should I wait their review?

Thank you.

Hello everybody! My case was approved November 6th at VSC. The letter says that they informed the Embassy that my son will get an immigration visa. I haven't got anything yet from NVC. Is it possible that my file will go directly to the Consulate without going through the NVC?
