I am a pivot case (online document upload). I just got an email this morning saying my case is closed. I submitted all documents to NVC on Sunday Dec. 2nd, 2018 and case got closed today/yesterday. I hope this is helpful to those wondering how long it will take NVC to close case after document submission.

Hello Valu, I am a pivot case also, how do you know when your case is closed does the the email specifically say "your case is closed"? I submitted all documents to NVC Nov 30 for my step kids, Dec 12 my stepdaughters documents were all ACCEPTED and we received an email that NVC will schedule her interview but nothing states "case closed", however my stepson still has ONE document (my divorce decree) with status SUBMITTED all other documents ACCEPTED and no email yet. Both kids I submitted the exact same documents other than my stepdaughter did not require police clearance since shes only age 10. Its been 6 days now since my stepdaughter's documents were accepted, and 18 days since we submitted the ds-260 and all documents, not sure why there is a hold up on my stepson's document acceptance when this entire process up till now their petitions were worked at the same time and received notices for both within minutes of each other. Frustrating I called NVC last night and they said they were still reviewing my stepsons documents. Whats more to review, both kids have the same documents!

Hi there. For me, I knew when they sent me an email saying with the heading "Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified:" Which I have learned from others that it means you have successfully submitted all required documents and therefore case is closed.

And when I checked online, all documents were accepted.

I uploaded all documents on Dec. 6th in the late evening. I signed in to CEAC today to find that all of my documents were accepted except for my marriage certificate 😕 I uploaded the correct document right away and now I'm hoping to hear back very soon. Thankfully I saw the message on the same day it was sent because I never even received an email to check my CEAC messages 😮 Just thought I'd share for others with a similar timeline. Keep checking CEAC!

Hi, I just have a question, if anyone could answer, it would be much appreciated. If ever one of your documents were rejected by NVC and you submitted again the required document, how long would be the response of NVC before they review your case again? Could it be days or a week/s?
