Ok cool. That's good to know. I am waiting for my case to be closed. Please keep us posted when you get your interview scheduled. I wanted to follow your timeline but it's not letting me. Cheers

Hi folks,

I've seen your discussion about interview dates. I'm confused.

Some of you telling about an interview 1-2 weeks after NVC case complete.

Isn't that related to Priority date?

My PD is 2 Feb 2017. I expect it to become current around may 2019.

Is that possible that I will have an interview before that?

Seems impossible to me, but maybe I misunderstood your conversation.

Thanks.

Grrr we got an RFE for marriage termination documents for Petitioner at 10:30am today, I uploaded and submitted my divorce decree within 1 hour around 11:30am so hopefully this wont slow us down too much. Were processing an IR2 child visa, I submitted my marriage certificate showing I am married to the mother I dont understand why they also need my divorce decree this is not a spouse visa petition, i guess anything they can throw in to slow your process :o

Hi Xia, just want to ask, are you petitioning your step child in the Philippines? If so what are the documents you submitted to USCIS? My husband is a USC and he’s going to petition my 15 year old daughter (his stepdaughter). Thanks in advance, and hope you get a case complete soon.

Depending to your timeline you are F2A filer, and that type of cases go under a limited number for visas each year so you are right you have to wait for your date to become current according to the visa bulletin.

I usually call NVC between 10:00pm and 10:30pm before they close at 11:00pm Eastern time, and usually get right through immediately or with less than 5 minutes hold wait. The key is to either call right before they close when most of the east coast is sleeping, or right after they open when most of the west coast is sleeping, to avoid long hold times.

Me and my wife debated uploading her 18 year old son's CENOMAR to NVC but my wife insisted it was not needed, his documents are still being reviewed after we got an RFE at NVC asking for my divorce decree to my ex-wife so were not sure if they will ask for the CENOMAR. I told my wife she needs to get his CENOMAR but she said its not needed till the embassy interview, then we will bring his CENOMAR to the embassy interview in case they ask. Her daughter is only age 10, shes a minor and cannot legally marry so I doubt they will ask for her CENOMAR.
