Lagos embassy... Any update please? We are hoping for a positive reply from our Senator, while equally hoping that the August/September CC are naturally favored in this ongoing schedule. Update from all angles please! Let's break the silence since iron sharpens iron. Happy Holidays. 🙏💪✌️

I’m still waiting to hear back from the Lagos embassy regarding my expedite request through the senator. What is going on with them?????

Well, I guess the holidays affect interventions. Within 24 hours of contacting our senator, we received a feedback asking us to fill the privacy release form. That was done immediately on the 19 December, 2018. So, we really believe they are taking steps but the holidays must have slow proceedings down. So, let's keep hoping something good will come our way this coming week. To those senators willing to take steps, it's either they come up with further information on the delay at Lagos embassy on some cases, or they are able to push for an expeditious action. The delay is quite overwhelming, but God will see us through. More updates please! Thanks.

Yes. You are right. I want to believe that it is the holidays, however there are still people from August and September who have not been interviewed. That doesn’t seem quite right or fair. And then I’m in a bunch of user groups on Facebook-other embassies are approving expedite request within 48 hours!  Somebody needs to figure out what’s going on with Lagos because this is not fair at all.   Our senator helped push us through USCIS in three months so I’m hoping that something comes of NVC

Oh! Amen. Kindly keep us posted once you hear from your senator especially that he has a good record with you. Honestly, the issue of Lagos embassy is so frustrating! You are right with other embassies with prompt expeditious actions. I guess so many factors are responsible for this slow and unfavorable actions in Lagos embassy including the ones we can't explain. If I may ask what's your  CC, and PD please?  Mine: CC: 24 August, 2018. PD: 13 November, 2018. Ofcourse, you are aware we have other friends with similar dates on the platform.

Best of luck! They said they would be open from 7-10:30am eastern time on Monday, closed Tuesday, and open regular hours the rest of the week.

Oh perfect, thank you for that info. I’ll call first thing on Monday. Did they already have the interview assigned or did they assign it while on the phone?

Interesting, how is your's not a pivot case? Our kids are interviewing in Manila Philippines also, and our cases are pivot.

Interview appointment scheduling is specific to the country-embassy you are interviewing at, as you were told your embassy is done with January (all slots full) and are now on February, this does not necessarily mean other embassies are finished with January scheduling, and yet some other embassies may be done with March and are now on April. See where I'm going with this? For instance, as of this moment Manila Philippines embassy is showing "First Available Appointment Is Friday January 4, 2019".

I haven’t heard back from my senetor but with the holiday that’s understandable.  I will be calling their office next week if I still didn’t hear from them.

Thanks. I was expecting interview in like a month or 1 and a half month after case close. But I guess it takes much longer. I should expect interview by the end of Feb I guess what do you think? My case was closed on 12/20. Any idea or estimate how long this last wait will be for me.

Yes it should be somewhere around feb end as per the trend. By March first week the process ideally should be complete looking at the timeline (including the visa)

fingers crossed 🙂

Based on my experience it didn’t take long here because Oman is not really a busy embassy, and the people from US Embassy here are very kind, helpful and accommodating to us if we have questions/concerns. The only thing that made my process slow was the sending/mailing my package to USCIS/NVC it took 3 weeks to arrived in the US since we are in the middle of nowhere in the desert LOL 😂 but overall  it was an easy and smooth process here in Oman.  I think it would be more expensive and a lot harder for me if I went back to Manila. Just my opinion. 😉
