I have a question from the ones who got their case complete, should first both IV and AOS package show accepted status then wait for the case complete?

That is correct.

Hi folks -

How long typically for the status to change at CEAC or NVC after interview date is scheduled? I should expect something like 'At consulate' or similar, right? Ours was not an electronic upload, papers were sent to NVC. We got the interview date scheduled last Friday. I checked today and it still shows 'At NVC'. So wondering. We will have interview at Mumbai Consulate.

Thanks. I'll have to call NVC next week to see what's going on. Ours hasn't changed at all.

OK. So I called NVC this morning. The two cases IR5 for my parents were shipped out to the Mumbai consulate today. The NVC fellow said to expect change in status in 2 weeks - after the consulate receives the case. We did mail-based documents to NVC. So perhaps that is the difference. I will update here once I see the change in status - just in case it helps others in similar situation.

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if we have to make the visa payment (165$) before going to the interview at the embassy? and if yes, where do is the payment made? I'm getting very confronting information so I thought I would ask the experts here 🙂

I apologize for posting off topic. But this is urgent for my family,  I posted on this thread since I know there are many active members on here

I have my interview January 3rd at embassy in Mexico. I know that the medical examiner there will check for TB but I wanted to be proactive and take a clearance note from my doctor. I currently live in the US and have since I was brought at the age of 2. A brief history, as a kid I had a reaction to the TB skin test, and since then have always had clear xrays my whole life. Last year December of 2017 for the first time i had a blood test done Quantiferon gold for TB instead of xrays. My results came negative doctor said I was TB free. Fast forward a year to this week, I had my blood work done again and the results came back positive. I was shocked, I told the doctor that I was fighting a cold/sore throat when I went to get blood work done. She said that due to my history there is a strong indication that the results are a false positive and asked me to retest in 2 weeks. HOWEVER, we will be in Mexico in the next couple days. Can someone please share experiences or knowledge based on TB testing. What would likely be the outcome if I test positive again in mexico for blood work but have a clear chest x-ray?? Would I be allowed to come back to the states? I am the sole provider for my wife and son who are us citizens and staying abroad would be devastating for our family,  we would lose everything our home,  car, my job ( high school teacher).

I am praying to God that this was a false positive , I know it is!! Please help,  prayers,  advice,  anything.

PS. Doctor said I can go retest today but since it was too close to the last test there is a strong chance that it will still come up positive. We are going to leave it in the almighty's hands and wait for my medical in Mexico.
