My fellow Lagos applicants, in addition to contacting Congress, another thing you can do is call the Embassy and let them know that you have been skipped. Inform them that people with November CC have received their dates and you need to speak with a supervisor

I called the embassy before and they said they dont talk to people, and I will need to email them.  I sent the email and they replied by telling me that they dont have my file, that I should contact NVC.

Exactly, we had a similar experience with Lagos embassy some months ago.

Sis I just called the embassy right now, the older guy answered the call and I asked to speak to the IV department.  He told me that they dont answer calls but I begged him to transfer and he did.  A young lady answered and attempted to transfer me, and I was hunged up on.  I called back went through the same thing, the young lady said she transfered me but they are not answering the phone and there is nothing she can do I begged again she said they are not answering calls.  So I hung up the phone.  I called NVC, once the lady answered I asked to be transfered to a supervisor.  The supervisor came on the line with an attitude, I explained myself to her and told her I was under the impression that the schduling is done by a computer.  She said that's not true, I told her that one of her reps told me so before.  She said they have a scheduling department that does scheduling, so it's done by people not computer.  I asked her if she can contact their supervisor for me, to let them know that we have been skipped, she said sorry she can't contact them on my behalf.  So I asked her what does she want me to do because everything I am begging her to help me with she is resisting.  SHe then asked " is there anything else I can help you with?"  I told her you can help by giving my husband an interview date, but since that's not an option bye.  SO that's my morning so far.  No one have the heart of empathy to look into it.  I just hope the congressman office is able to get passed this and get us an interview date.

Oh God why all this? God please have mercy 💔

The guy my husband spoke to was patient with him. The headache we experienced was the call transfers but when we got him it was smooth but we didn't ask about IV department though, we just spoke to the person about our interview date

Please I'm so sorry you are going through this, I can't even imagine what you're going through, my heart is broken!

I did a forum search and came up empty apologize for off topic.

How soon can you apply for financial aid after receiving visa at immigration interview? I currently live in the USA and have been paying for college out of pocket. I have a i601a waiver and interview for January 3rd. Once approved and come back to the states, would I be considered a permanent resident immediately or until my actual card comes in the mail?

You will get a stamp at the point of entry when you come back to the US. So as soon as you enter you will be consider a resident. Even if GC hasn't arrive yet. Good luck on your interview!
