Multiple RFEs.  I was hoping there wasn't such a thing.  Today is 4 months exactly for us at USCIS.  You know... when this whole visa journey thing is over for Anna and I... I'm really gonna miss those guys.

I'm sure you will miss them greatly almost as much as you miss getting teeth pulled, don't worry before your journey is COMPLETELY over you will have many more chances to dance with them!!!! They do try to send out all RFEs at once, but there is nothing binding them to do it. It only happens once in a while that I have seen.

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

I have a completely off the wall question as I sit here vegging on a Sunday morning with nothing better to do.  Does the USCIS ever send anything priority mail?  Or is it all standard mail?  I'd be interested in hearing about people's prior experiences.  Thanks.

Question.  Do you ONLY get one RFE?  Do they review EVERYTHING and then send out the RFE notice?  Or could it be an iterative thing?  For AV's case, if they respond and the USCIS is satisfied on the 4a box matter, could they get a second RFE later indicating he didn't check another box and then it starts all over again?  This part I was always unclear on.

One RFE for everything at one time. One answer allowed for each question. If your RFE does not satisfy the adjudicator then you are done.

We can put some money together and send them a nice present for giving us such a fun time 😁

This past week has been rougher than the past weeks. Especially when I got the notification from visa journey that time was past due for me to have received by NOA2. The wait is killing me. I miss my fiancee so much. How do you guys cope with the wait?

We don't set our expectations so high that when they are not met we don't feel sorry for ourselves.  We wait patiently and watch the timelines that can be found various places including on USCIS website. We make sure we have a life outside of VJ.

Thanks! Your answers are extremely helpful. Sometimes a person can even forget about something minor that happened long time ago...

Hi everyone - I’ve been in California visiting my fiancé, so am just catching up on all the NOA2s that have come in! Congrats everyone!

We haven’t received anything yet (NOA1 date was 12th December 18) - predicted adjudication date was 6th - 14th April...however, appreciate that it’s an estimate and even if they did review it in that period, will take a few days for the hard copy NOA2 to reach us by post.

We’ve been checking the website regularly, but just shows as ‘case received’ - I’ve only managed to find one website to check though (but can see that people reference an old and new site in this thread)...if anyone can provide the two website addresses, that would be very much appreciated!

 Thanks

Here you are https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

Old site (also the data source for all 'USCIS case tracker' apps): https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Newhttps://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ (you have to create an account and add your case # to it)

Neither is more reliable (and it's very possible you won't see anything on either, and will have to just wait for the physical mail). For a while it looked like they were phasing out the "old" site, but that trend seems to have reversed itself and there are still lots of cases that show up on only one (or much earlier on one than the other).

My sweetheart in Ukraine says to remain positive.  The law of the universe, she says, will be guided by your mood.  In the U.S. we call this a 'self-fulfilling prophecy'.  So each time I curse the USCIS she wags her index finger at me.  🙂

As hard as it may be, you just need to keep your chin up and think positive.  I am the very LAST person who should be saying this to anyone.  I need to heed this advice.  It comes directly from my fiancee.

There's probably a few reasons why some countries take longer than others but some of it could be how quickly Ukraine authorities typically respond to inquiries (security checks, etc.).

I have been running some queries recently for ONLY Ukraine petitions.  From August 1 to present day, the average # of days to an NOA2 is roughly 149.  That's the average so some are less, some are more.  Only two have had RFEs.

My NOA1 'notice date' is 12/14/2018 so, between that date and today (and NOT counting today), it has been 119 days for us.  VJ guesstimates our petition could be adjudicated between yesterday and next Thursday (April 11 - 18).  COULD is the operative word.  I don't get the feeling VJ's range takes into consideration the beneficiary country because its range for us has yo yo'd back and forth while not many Ukraine petitions have been fully adjudicated over the last month or two.  So take VJ's suggested date range for what it's worth.

Based on the query numbers I've gotten for Ukraine, I think a better guesstimate for us might be May 13 - 17 and this is ONLY if we hit the average.  A RFE could blow that out of the water and make a better range sometime in June (which is what I was expecting back in December).

I realize we are at the point when it can happen anytime.  Today... next week... next month... June.  Hard to say.  Of course I hope we all get our NOA2s promptly.  🙂

If it makes you feel any better..We are 12/14/18 also and nothing yet.  It will show up when you least expect it.  My fiance is from Colombia.
