I figured out how to do this  now my question is if they receive the response to the RFE by Monday 4/15, how much will this delay the appointment to the us embassy in Manila?

Not anyone here can give you a date when you should expect your approval, but one thing is for sure USCIS is looking at your case as evidenced by your RFE. I can only say that it should just be a short time now before you hear from USCIS. But if you had/have an appointment for your interview you are way ahead of the process which in this case is NOT a good thing for you!

How many times are you going to post this question. Once is enough.

Hello friends! I am so excited. My USPS Informed Delivery shows that I got a letter from USCIS. And the crazy thing is that juuuuust enough of the letter is showing through the address panel that I can see that my fiance and I were APPROVED! Woooooo! We are so so so excited. I'm actually visiting him in Argentina right now, and it was a thrilling piece of news to receive.

I probably won't know my official NOA2 date until I get back to the US and open the letter. (The websites aren't showing my approval yet.) So I'm going to assume my NOA2 date was Tuesday-ish, since I'm receiving the paper letter on a Friday. But of course I'll correct this date on VJ once I know the exact NOA2.

Stay strong, everyone! Your time is coming. :) :) :)

What a pleasant surprise congrats!!!!!

My fiancée must have some crazy intuition because yesterday she begged me to call back and speak to Tier 2. I tried but turned out the office closed earlier than usual, so I woke up early and tried again first thing this morning. Turns out we were approved yesterday! 🎉🎉🎉

NOA1 12/27/18

NOA2 04/11/19

Our status still shows as just “received” on both the new and old sites, so calling in definitely was worth it! Best of luck to all who have yet to be approved! I will head over to the April NOA2 forum.

Congrats that will learn ya to trust the wife!

Congratulations! ❤ is 12/27 your received Or notice date?

If it's received then we have the same date. Do you mind sharing the phone number you used if ever we decide to speak to a tier 2 officer?

We would just like to ask the progress of our packet :)

Thanks and best of luck to you and your fiance ❤

Possibly but I am not sure what the USCIS process is, if they do things by country, etc.  After a roughly TWO hour wait, I spoke with a so-called Tier 2 officer who, for the most part, was about as much help as a bad case of acne.

However, she seemed to suggest that part of the process is to reach out to the beneficiary's country for information on the person you are sponsoring.  Makes sense.  So maybe Ukraine is a little slow to the trigger in providing information back to the USCIS, DHS, etc. while countries like the Philippines have quick turnaround time.

Who knows?  Maybe after the election later this month Ukraine will start pumping these things out like a Pez dispenser.  One can only hope.

I think I need to take greenbaum's advice and maybe learn how to make pottery,  develop an interest in croquet or knitting USCIS voodoo dolls.

It looks like we're both in the same boat, huh?  Same country, same petition timeframe.  Let's hope we both get approvals REAL soon.

Щасти.  🙂

I was wondering why some countries are approved in one day or quicker than others, now it makes more sense!

My fiance doesn't believe in fast approval for us, basically because he previously applied for K1 for another person so maybe we will have more checks than others. But I am staying positive anyway.

Wish you a speedy approval and thanks for sharing your thoughts :)

My sweetheart in Ukraine says to remain positive.  The law of the universe, she says, will be guided by your mood.  In the U.S. we call this a 'self-fulfilling prophecy'.  So each time I curse the USCIS she wags her index finger at me.  🙂

As hard as it may be, you just need to keep your chin up and think positive.  I am the very LAST person who should be saying this to anyone.  I need to heed this advice.  It comes directly from my fiancee.

There's probably a few reasons why some countries take longer than others but some of it could be how quickly Ukraine authorities typically respond to inquiries (security checks, etc.).

I have been running some queries recently for ONLY Ukraine petitions.  From August 1 to present day, the average # of days to an NOA2 is roughly 149.  That's the average so some are less, some are more.  Only two have had RFEs.

My NOA1 'notice date' is 12/14/2018 so, between that date and today (and NOT counting today), it has been 119 days for us.  VJ guesstimates our petition could be adjudicated between yesterday and next Thursday (April 11 - 18).  COULD is the operative word.  I don't get the feeling VJ's range takes into consideration the beneficiary country because its range for us has yo yo'd back and forth while not many Ukraine petitions have been fully adjudicated over the last month or two.  So take VJ's suggested date range for what it's worth.

Based on the query numbers I've gotten for Ukraine, I think a better guesstimate for us might be May 13 - 17 and this is ONLY if we hit the average.  A RFE could blow that out of the water and make a better range sometime in June (which is what I was expecting back in December).

I realize we are at the point when it can happen anytime.  Today... next week... next month... June.  Hard to say.  Of course I hope we all get our NOA2s promptly.  🙂
