Sarge...i noticed you are past your date for NOA2...any updates?  Do you take action or are just being patient?

I have followed  up ( called several times) put in an online inquiry (still waiting for that reply to the inquiry.) In short at this time I have done all I can do. So yes being patient.

Hello December filers! I'll be joining your ranks soon, woohoo! My beloved and I made our engagement official on Wednesday down in Argentina. Now I'm back in the US and I'm so excited to get started, even though I know this process will involve a lot of waiting. My goal is to FedEx the I-129F packet before Christmas. I have most of the materials assembled, with just a few more additions needed.

Good luck to you all. Can't wait to share/commiserate/celebrate with this cohort. :)

Congrats.  As Greenbaum stated above, take lots of pictures together and keep all evidence of plane boarding passes and other evidence of yoru beautiful relationship.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Our lawyer sent our documents to the USCIS on 20th December 2018. Looking forward to getting the first notification!

I FedExed my petition on Dec 19th, it arrived on the 20th, and I got the text message saying it was received (with CSC case number) on Dec 26th. So I think you should be getting your notification soon! Did you sign up to receive alerts? If not, then you might actually already have a case number and just not know it yet.

Slight edit to my post above: I got the text message from USCIS on December 26th, but just today I received the actual paper letter in the mail. And the "notice date" actually says December 24th. So I guess it was processed pretty quickly! Arrived at the dropbox on a Thursday, then Monday got issued the NOA1.

Welcome to all the newest members of the December thread, I am sure that as the time approaches for you all to start getting approved there will be many more people joining the ranks here. Now that you have submitted your petitions the hard part is now upon you "the dreaded wait", but it need not be dreaded it's just something you have no say about. Sit back and make the most of your "wait" it will be as hard or as easy as you make it. Continue to venture to other areas of the forum and read and learn you'll need it later. Word of advice (this advice is given time and time again) please don't compare your case with others here on VJ as each case stands on it's own merits. If you compare I can almost assure you that your wait will be hard!

Congrats I hope everything goes smooth for you during your waiting period. Be sure to update your time line if you have not already done so once you get your NOA1.
