I made my timeline up-to-date.

My fiancee (petitioner in the U.S.) is thinking of using his friend as a co-sponsor. He tried to find a family member instead but couldn't find one. As long as the co-sponsor can meet the income amount requirement, is it likely I will get my visa?

In addition to my last question, I was wondering if as the foreign fiancee, I should get a job in the meantime so that it shows that I might not become a financial burden when I get to the U.S. I have a degree, but I don't want to work in the field the degree is in. I have worked part-time in shops for a few years while studying, so have some experience in that. The only sort of job I would get is working in a shop somewhere. Also, I would choose to work part-time so I can be flexible for when my fiancee comes to visit me. I know it isn't a requirement, but could it help?

Depends on the Embassy. Most embassy's like the co-sponsor be a parent or a sibling. If he meets or exceeds the poverty level for your size family there isn't a need for a co-sponsor. UK is easy on this issue.

Your income will have NO baring on this process. The responsibility rest solely on the petitioner.

I'll be going to the London embassy. My fiancee has never files taxes in his life.

Hi, sent form i1299f 28 nov, USCIS They received on December 5th. They did not send a text message and neither did the NOA1. They cashed the check and we got the case number by calling. Good luck for all of you.

That is odd. Are they going to resend NOA1? Have you created an online account?

Yeah, they sent again NOA1. I have 1 doubt The instructions on the i129 form asked for a US citizen's birth certificate or passport, but they could not show the beneficiary's birth certificate.

Im not sure i understand your comment....

What do you mean by the UK (London) Embassy is easy on this issue? Are they more lenient, and how?

This may come across as a crazy question, but I'm going to ask it anyway.

If there are people who don't want us to marry, is there anything that they can do to cause problems with or prevent me from getting my visa? For example I see there is a place to leave anonymous tips on the USCIS website.

He began working in January 2017. He didn't pay his taxes last year so will have to pay them along with the ones he will have to pay this year. He is self-employed.
