Hello, the form I-797C (NOA1), It has my name ( I am the fiance K1), but it is not the name of my daughter (K2). We include the data of the girl in the form i-129f. I'm worried

When you get your case number paperwork from NVC your daughter's number will be there. You will 01 and she will be 02 using the same case number.

That's correct.

It looks like he won't be paying his taxes at all... I am very worried. I know that this isn't a forum for personal issues, but by him refusing to file taxes, it makes me incredibly doubtful that I can get my K1 visa. In turn this is damaging our relationship.

Does anyone know of any stories of how just having a friend as a co-sponsor has worked to earn a K1 visa?

Can I contact the London Embassy to ask them their requirements?

I think there are deeper issues here that you may want to address sooner then later. I ask myself a question "why would a MAN not want to do everything possible to have is fiancé (soon wife) to have a smooth road in filing for a visa"?

I have seen cases where a "friend" has stepped in and offered to help. The requirements are the I-134 and the same financials that your fiancé will submit. Details next.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

But the question will come up at the interview why hasn't he filed his 2017 taxes? I'm not trying to be "mean" but I work better in a realist world and so I point these items out for you to think about. In the end it is still your life and mine is only to answer questions and add commentary here on VJ. I hope you understand.

He won't be paying his 2017 back-taxes? Or he refuses to pay taxes even moving forward? Not paying his taxes is a recipe for financial and legal disaster. Yes, there are super-rich people who have gotten away with tax evasion for decades, in part due to lax enforcement (especially in the last ~15 years). But this is not a wise strategy for anyone, especially someone without an army of lawyers -- and it's unethical besides. If he is caught then he will be in a big financial hole because he will owe all the back taxes. And I think you should assume he will get caught if he makes a habit of not paying his taxes.

You said earlier that your fiance is self-employed. As a self-employed person myself, I know it can be incredibly difficult to remember to put away enough money each quarter to pay estimated taxes. But that is exactly what he must do to avoid getting into a hole. The quarterly deadlines for paying estimated taxes are April 15th, June 15th, September 15th, and January 15th. And while it can seem daunting to figure out exactly how much tax he owes in a given quarter, there is an easy (though slightly riskier) method. He can see how much he owed on last year's taxes, make the assumption that his income will be the same this year, and therefore divide last year's tax total by four: presto, that's the amount to pay each quarter. This method is fine by the IRS -- the only risk is that if your income is quite different from year to year, you're more likely to either owe more or get a big refund in April.

Yes, this is just a visa forum, and as Greenbaum said, it's your life. But this issue is not minor, and it will affect more than just the potential success of your visa application. If you're married to someone with serious legal and financial problems, those become your problems, too. Sorry to add to the tough love, but you're right to be worried.

Hello all :) I barely make enough to support my foriegn fiance so my parents have decided to co sponsor my fiance.  They are both retired and receive a very good retirement. There were no W2 to send in with out affidavit of support. Do you think this will cause a problem?

I mailed the K1 on December 29, 2018...received the text message for NOA1 on December 31, 2018. I'm really hoping that is a good sign! Really looking forward to a speedy approval. Will update.

The co-sponsor portion is not required till the interview. It will need to be repeated then. Won't hurt your application so relax.

That is a relief! So I as the US petitioner will have a interview here? I thought only the foriegn fiance had to  be interviewed. Well by the time that comes around, I will definitely be able to show them that with my new job I will make more than enough to support us.  My last 2 years of returns were terrible.

Lol..not to be petty...but that has nothing to do with noa2... all they do is cash the check and check for completeness and then they end up on somebodys desk in a stack of work that we hope they get to asap. People on here will have the same noa1 date and be 30 days behind eachother for NoA2... and not always because of errors...its just the luck of the draw...however...the wait between noa1 and noa2 appears to be lessening...so that is the bright side...it will be a whirlwind of emotions...sl enjoy the ride as much as possible...only the strong can survive this process 💔

When I answer questions it is not easy to know whom is who so I direct the question so you have the information for when you hit that part of your journey. I can't tell who is the petitioner or the beneficiary.

The co-sponsor is used for the interview so naturally that will be the beneficiary. They pay particular attention to current year income so you should be fine.
