So 3 days ago I uploaded all of our AOS and civil documents. Today the NVC sent me a message saying I needed to upload my 2017 or 2018 tax transcript. I do not yet have the one for 2018. I uploaded my 1040 because I just got my taxes done on Monday and they told me I had to mail in instead of efile because my husband doesn't have an SSN.  Why does the NVC say upload tax return OR transcript if all they will accept is the transcript?? I uploaded transcripts for 2016 and 2017 but IRS just received my return in the mail today so I imagine it will take days if not weeks for my 2018 transcript to be available to download from their site. This is so frustrating!!

you can check the NVC Forum. person got that same thing and they were told to write a letter explaining why the 2018 transcripts are not yet available. and they just upload that in the section that ask for 2018 transcripts

Submit 2017 transcripts. Thank God they replied quickly

Omg thank you. I actually started typing a letter of explanation and I was going to do everything you said before I read your comment and I was wondering if it was the right thing to do so your post is confirmation for me. Thanks again!

okay. 

 

when you are uploading it, upload it under the section that ask for 2018 transcript. so that would be the titled of the document. even thought your not attaching a transcript. also when your saving it, I will save it with the title 2018 tax transcript

no it's not unusual. I have seen other members got theirs reviewed in 3 to 5 days while some are 2 weeks

Got case complete email early this morning. Wish I could log in to CEAC just to see for myself that they really did accept everything.
