Ok guys. Just wanted to give you some info on how it worked out for me.

I filed end of December 2018 in Texas.

No lawyer. Just followed internet based info like the one on this webpage.

Prepared all the paperwork methodically and put it together in a partitioned folder. Wrote a cover letter and Indexed all the documents/ proof provided-in other words, just made the officers job as easy as I possibly could.

Was called in for biometrics in August and just received my 10 year green card in the mail on Nov 29th 2019. Total waiting time 11 months. Just stay calm and be patient.

Best luck to all of you still waiting!

Congrats on being approved!

Filed in Texas but are you at Texas service center? What letters does your case number start with?

My case number starts with LIN.

But honestly, I wouldn’t try to figure out how that works with the case number letters. I heard and read all kinds of things. From Texas regional office being slower and more congested at the time I filed. Average waiting time 16 months bla bla bla...

Each case can be very different, and the truth is we are never going to have a gauge to measure our case against others. Not even an immigration lawyer who works with these cases on a daily dares to tell you how long it will take or to assure you that you will be getting an interview or not.

I honestly think if your paperwork is thoroughly filled in, organized and reasonably well presented you should be fine. I had proof of a life together with my spouse, but not the insane amount of proof that I was reading online, that some other candidates recorded on other threads. I simply followed the advice on visa journey  when I prepared my file and it obviously worked. No lawyer needed, although I did talk to one for advice and peace of mind.

Let the process run it’s course, don’t obsess about it (it will not happen earlier just bc you worry more, and might give you an ulcer), be a good human and take care of your karma. Before you know it you will have a positive answer/resolution.

Good luck to you all again

Just mailed off my I-751 and I realized I left the “USCIS online account number blank” my husband does not have one.... Should I have wrote “none” on there? Also when I typed the form our first initial and last name auto populated on the declaration area so I one line crossed it out and filled in our names completely and wrote the explanation for the cross out at the back of the form.... lastly I labeled my folders and place my paperwork in that instead of the sticky tabs at the bottom.... Will I get an rfe for any of that????? I’m freaking out now

I am filling my N400 while waiting for I-751. I have a questions

I only lived in USA for 3 years so I filed Tax returns in 2018 and 2019. But they asked for 3 year of Tax returns. Is it ok if I submit only for 2 years?

Upload that two years for now. and when you file in 2020  take that third one along with you at the interview. that's what I am doing.

May I ask you what evidence are you planning on including with your N-400, are you going to use the same evidence you used when you filed the I-751? how abou photos? flights togethers? utility bills? affidavits ? It's not making sense to me why would I include these again and again. I'm eligible for citizenship in few days as well and I'm still debating if I should just wait for my Greencard or just file N-400

Read the instructions for N-400.  It will tell you what to submit.

The instructions says to submit only basic evidence like Tax returns , lease , health insurance. But I've been reading some posts where people are saying submit all you can to prove you were living together this is what's not making sense to me

Yes you submit basic information like three year tax transcripts, green card, marriage certificate and whatever's its on guide and you take your evidence along with you at the interview.

Read the required evidence section.  It tells you what to submit and what to take with you to the interview.

I sent back and front of green card, tax returns for 2016,2017&2018, 4 statement of bills (Sewer, electric, water) and bank statements on different months (December 2018, March 2019, June 2019 & November 2019), car loan and house mortgage under both our names.  That is all. I submitted my form online on December 5, received email receipt right away and under document was my Notice of Action receipt on the same day. It said 8 days waiting period below the status yesterday and this morning it changed to Biometric was being scheduled. Estimated completion is June 2020.
