Yeah I just came back home and opened the mail.it says uscis was able to  use your old biometrics and biometrics fees will not be refunded.  Weird!

That’s good news!

Often with ROC they can use the bio you did before so you don’t have to get new one.

1) How did you make a request? Via phone or online?

2) Earlier you said you got a stamp during InfoPass appointment. Did they take your GC away? Or did they let you to keep your GC?

ROC

12/11/2018 - I-751 mailed (requested a fee waiver) to Lewisville, TX via FedEx

12/13/2018 - package delivered

01/02/2019 - received text message from USCIS with case number starting with EAC

01/12/2019 - submitted online e-Request for non-delivery of NOA (the extension letter)

01/24/2019 - received the response to e-Request via e-mail, which says: "Please allow 30 days from the date of this correspondence for the notice to be sent".

01/28/2019 - received NOA (the extension letter), which extends GC for 18 months

01/29/2019 - received biometrics appointment letter

02/08/2019 - biometrics completed

1) i made the request online

2) yep i have a stamp in my passport. they cut the corner off my green card so im not sure i can use my green card + the NOA any more. i will use the i-551 stamp if i have to travel. when i made the request it said that they might not respond until 28th january and so i made the infopass appointment because i needed to renew my drivers licence (and now i kind of wish i had waited because the NOA is 18 months and the stamp only 1 yr)

I received a second extended letter as well but this one without Fee waived, It could be that it's not only by error. Maybe the first one says fee waived because because they were not sure yet if you need bio or not on the first one and after the bio they send another one with receipt of the amount include bio fees? just a guess but anyway it's nice to have 2 original extension letter in case you loose one then you have a back up plan.

BTW heading to my Bio appt. next week, USCIS are doing a great job now, pretty fast for almost everyone. I hope everything will be better for the people with some delays. Good Luck!

Two more letters from USCIS in the mail for me today. They definitely don’t save on their stamp expenses 😉

And surprise surprise!! Two more of the same letters as Saturday! They must really be messed up at TX service center! 😆

I know crazy right! I got 5 now! and none in my sons name as they don't get extension letters!

I'm a bit worried they are totally messed up with this ROC process then they have been before.

My extension letter says 'fee waived' but the online case status has been changed to 'case was received' - should I be concerned about the letter? Do I need to request a new one? I have also not received any notice of biometrics - do I need to call and inquire about this?

It seems that people who submitted their applications after mine have already had their appointments/received updated letters. My case was received on Dec 14th.

They automatically send me a new one with the correct notice.

About bio I would not be worried.

Our petition was received on December 5th and we have received no correspondence whatsoever. No extension letter, no biometrics appointment.. nothing. All these other people confirming about theirs is making me nervous, too! Hooray!

My second letter on Saturday was a info that my extension letter is on the way. The info letter arrived almost a week after the 180 days exentsion lol. At this point I don’t even care anymore what’s going on with ROC. In 9 short months from now I will be applying for citizenship anyway, all this won’t mater anymore then, plus I probably won’t hear anything until then anyway haha.

Other exiting news tho, we’re expecting our first kid this year in August :)

Congratulations!! Our first babe was born in August last year, though she was very early (33+5). That will be much more fun for you to focus on than immigration matters :)
