So the other night I called USCIS again to get an appointment to have my wife's passport stamped.  We actually spoke to a very nice, friendly, and surprisingly helpful person who took my wife's phone number and said that someone would call her back to setup an appointment.  Someone called her the next day and told her that she could not get an appointment to get her passport stamped because her expiration date was too far out (Feb 19).  They claim that we will get the letter by then (which I obviously don't believe since I sent our stuff in on Dec 3 and others who filed in Oct still haven't received anything).  They said that if it's a week before the expiration date and we still haven't received the letter, they will stamp it.  To me this is unacceptable.  If we need to leave the country because of an emergency, I really doubt that they could get it in that quick to stamp her passport.  If I don't see this by the end of Jan, I will call back and demand to get an appointment.

It's been stated by various VJ members that based on their experience with USCIS, they will not stamp the passport before 30 days prior to GC expiration.  I know it's difficult but try to be a bit more patient.  Just saw that a Nov 1 filer received their NOA1 in the mail today.

So I called USCIS. Got my receipt number: WAC-19-900-xxxxx

They said it takes about 30 days to mail the Receipt Notice. They received my package on Dec 05 so I have to wait until Jan 05.

I can get my passport stamped in Sacramento. But I can not do it as online appointment. They will call me in next 1-3 days and only then I can make appointment to get passport stamped.

My attorney did not file G-1145. Does that mean I will not get a text notification?

Hey!

- application was received in Texas 12/03/18

- I got my biometrics notice in the mail on 12/31/18 .... but no NOA/receipt notice yet.

I need the NOA/receipt to renew my drivers licence so I'm trying to get an infopass appointment for the last few days but there are never any appointments!

Does my biometrics letter mean that they accepted my application?

If my biometrics letter came does that mean my receipt notice was lost in the mail?

n400

11/12/19 - filed

12/06/19 - biometrics

08/24/19 - interview scheduled

You should have gotten a text already if you submitted a g-1145 or at least any day now.
