I don't think everyone wants to get their passport stamped.  But if we have an international trip scheduled and if it looks like the NOA does not come in time then it's loss of airline ticket and a ruined trip.

Gotcha! Didnt think about that. :)

Could be a good thing if they ever get processing back on track to a reasonable timeline.  Rule before was everyone had to get an interview.  The rule before the old rule was that not everyone had to have an interview.

Ah!  I see.  Thanks for clarifying.

I assume as I will be doing N400 in 9 months time that it's a moot point anyway.  As I will just have a Naturalisation interview instead?

wouldn't hurt to call and see what they've got to say. I have read vjers experiences that varied from a couple of days to over a month, you are definitely still in that time frame. Also when you received your text it should have said to contact them when you are past a certain date and havent received a letter yet.

Yes, when you look up your case online it says when you can contact them if you haven’t received it.

Why does everyone want to get their passport stamped? If you want to travel you just need your expired greencard accompanied by your  I-797 NOA.

USCIS told me I have to have it stamped otherwise I lose status. It’s compulsory I guess.

I will not look back on this journey with fond memories, but I will look back knowing that every step was worth it, whatever the outcome.

Thank you for clarifying that. I am looking to go to Germany around April. Hence i already have my NOA 1 i do not need a stamp if i go by what is written on the NOA. I was just wondering why not trying to be rude :)
