My wife was able to schedule her medical after receiving the packet 3. They wouldn't let her do it sooner at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok.

How do you schedule? Just call ,email, website?

You can call Bumrungrad directly.  They speak good English and will be familiar with scheduling requirements for the K1 medical exam.   They are very friendly and helpful.  Date selection is pretty flexible and likely will only require a few days advance appointment.  Contact information (phone numbers) can be found here:

In our case, they needed to see the Embassy Interview Appointment letter which is provided by the US Embassy after submitting Packet 3.   Generally it will take 1 - 2 days after the medical exam for exam results to be available.   It is required that the results be picked up at the hospital.   In our case, at the conclusion of the exam, we were provided with a specific time and date that the result package would be available for pickup.  (Bumrungrad will not send results directly to the Embassy, but I have read that they will hold on to the results until you are available to pick them up, for example the day before the interview.

Yes this was changed some time back. The medical is really good for a year but best to wait. Its easy to do with known results.
