I had a follow up explanations which what you said about the telephone is correct. IRS must have access to the USC's credit report as the process involves verification using financial records, there may be a “soft inquiry” placed on your credit report. And the other is a readily available mobile device. For instant access, your name must be associated with a U.S-based mobile phone capable of receiving text messages.  If the mobile phone number cannot be linked to your name, you may opt for a mailed activation code during registration. The name that the phone account is in is what they are querying for, so if you are not the primary on the account then you must opt for mail. So, you can get an online copy the first time to the website but if the system fails to verify then the code is mailed. So plan ahead.

I will add to the confusion here but I was able to gain instant access, my cell phone is not in my name but on a family plan with a family member as the primary account holder.  I don't remember what I did exactly to verify my account since it's been 3-4 weeks.

@Greenbaum, that’s right if we r trying to create an account online & print it. If our phone number gets accepted in their system we can create account online , which for some reason system didn’t recognize mine. So in that case they would mail the code & once we get it we can activate the account. I’m waiting for the same . To order the transcript via mail I didn’t had any issue either.

Thank you, for explaining that. I thought I was an anomaly. What you said regarding the phone number makes since now, as I gave up my land line phone number for my mobile number, the IRS did not recognize. This is why the IRS needed verification.

Never happened to me nor have I heard this from others. I can't say why or why not that it's been different for you.

I was not pointing blame at you. Thank You @Greenbaumfor providing the IRS link. That was a blessing. I stand corrected. 😁

hi all, wondering if beneficiary needs to provide the bank statement or financial support when reply to packet 3 or during interview? or only the petitioner needs to do so?

Hello! Our status has changed to, "In Transit" today as well. As predicted, all thanks to everyone's cooperation and support here on VJ ❤️ 🌞Forever grateful to you all. We still haven't received an email as well but we called NVC just to check, and the nice lady said we should receive an email within 24 hours. 😊

I134 is for the petitioner's financial status and ability to support the beneficiary based on household size and poverty guidelines.  No need for beneficiary financials as a "requirement".  If the petitioner doesnt earn enough to satisfy the requirements then you would need a co-sponsor if allowed by your consulate.

So we had our K1 interview today and after 8 months of planning, nerves and uncertainty we were approved! It was such a pleasant experience. The CO in Dublin was super nice and approved me within 5 minutes. Now 2 weeks until my visa comes back and we can start our new adventure. I’d also like to thank all at VJ. Without this resource it would have been so much more difficult to complete this stage of the K1 process. Now i can breath and begin planning the move. Wishing all the December NOA2’s the best of luck. If you have any queries that you think I can answer, feel free to drop me a mail.

DELIGHTED!!!

Congratulations 😊👍

Partially correct.

There is a second option if you have a mobile phone with the account in your name.   They will text you the code to enter right away, without having to wait.  If the phone number is under a family/group plan or was given to you from your work, it will not work and you will need to request the code by mail.

Also, if you have a land-line phone in your name it will not work - only mobile phones.

Do u need to update or register ur mobile number with IRS to get the code on mobile? My fiance moved back to US 8 months back and the got a new US mobile number so not sure if the number is registered with IRS. What's the procedure to do that?

Our case went "In Transit" yesterday morning but I still can't track any shipments going to Montreal, Canada using the DHL instructions (I tried it for the Phillipines for fun so I know I'm doing it right -  I can see the packages that were sent to the Phillipines).

Does that mean the shipment to Canada hasn't actually left the NVC yet?

I would say, and I haven't read it anywhere, but if you pass 2 out of the three requirements with #3 being the phone/name I believe you have passed their litmus test. Just an opinion.

Hi all! I need your help 😔, please. I lived in Mexico D.F 13 months between my 17 to 19 years, reviewing my package of documents for my interview, ask for a police certificate from the countries where I lived, but it is not easy. Anyone who has already done their interview and go through this same, could you inform me if they demanded this document? , or what should I do ?, the process is long and I must move to Bogota, I live in another city, I must give a letter of power, it is a lot of information and we are worried since our appointment is the following month! I remain attentive to your help. Thank you.

Have you followed the requirements posted here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Mexico.html

Yes you will need a PC for each country you have lived in for more than 6 months since the age of 16. No way around this requirement but to submit what is asked in the link I provided.

Sí, necesitará una PC para cada país en el que haya vivido durante más de 6 meses desde la edad de 16 años. No hay forma de evitar este requisito, pero envíe lo que se solicita en el enlace que proporcioné.

@Greenbaum

Thanks friend! For your fast answer! we are worried our appointment is on March 19 at the US embassy and I hope this process does not take too long. I'll get in touch with the embassy of Mexico and start. Blessings.
