Hi. While I understand each embassy has its procedures, we are in a similar situation with the US Embassy in Cairo. Our case showed as "In Transit" on 1/8 and "Ready" on 1/10. Based on DHL tracking, our physical file was received morning  of 1/13. We have emailed the embassy twice to inquire. First time, end of day 1/14, and they replied they had not received the file at post yet. Second time, yesterday 1/21, no reply yet. I am beginning to think that contrary to what has been said that the shutdown is not directly affecting Consular Services/Visas, contract workers, which is what most locally-hired embassy staff that are involved in computer processing etc. typically are, may have been furloughed, and thus the long delay. From what I see online, prior to the shutdown the P3 often went out within 2-3 days of receipt of the physical file.

I noticed that as well. Hope things move quickly for you two! I’m even more confused with my case because I have not been able to track anything with DHL (I’ve literally tried it all) so I have no idea where my physical file is even at. Also, Berlin has sent all of their paperwork to Frankfurt because they are remodeling out of all things.

Ok so I FINALLY figured out how to correctly track my case on DHL (I was on the German page because my phone kept going to the page from previous memory). I found that 2 pieces were sent from the NVC and delivered and signed by someone from the Frankfurt Embassy address on the dates that correspond to the statuses that were shown on the Ceac website. But, when I emailed the Embassy they told me the physical copy was not in? Are they just saying this because they haven’t looked at it or am I missing something here?
