A lot of people got their case number on the 10th, potentially it was assigned on the 10th. I’m hoping it gets to the embassy early Feb! Crossing my fingers for both of us.

Here is what to expect.

Good evening to all VJ's. I wish y'all nothing but high praises, love, prayers and good support. This K1 process is not a race for the swift, but most definitely for those who can endure. I've been a longtime lurker on here for about two years. I kept quiet and observe the great information that's posted here by all. Some good, bad and nonsense. I do believe this platform has great people with immense and vital knowledge for everyone to share. I just created my timeline to help some folks out. @Greenbaum, I like your style. @Sarge2155, the coolest and most positive person around.

My question is, can we start the DS-160 now, or should I wait for the Embassy to reach out to the beneficiary?

Hi everyone,

I was reading our noa2 hardcopy again this morning (for fun lol, our noa2 was Dec. 6). I'm sorry if I sound like a broken record but we are still waiting for the NVC to receive our approved petition from USCIS. I just submitted a service request on the USCIS website about the exact location of our approved petition (but I don't have high hopes of that request telling us anything). I will send an email to NVCResearch tomorrow.

Anywhos,

On the noa2 approval letter, I noticed our "Priority Date" is blank. What is the "Priority Date" exactly, and why is it blank on our approval letter? Is it blank for everyone? Could this mean priority for shipment? Could this be why it hasn't shipped to the NVC yet?? The letter does say "The above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC)..".

Any thoughts on the blank "Priority Date"?

The other dates on the letter are:

Received date: 06/15/2018

Notice date: 12/06/2018

Thanks :)

I don’t think it has a connection. Our priority date was blank too and it was sent to our consulate. Did you update the email address and call and send an inquiry and all that?

Yes I updated our email with the NVC ages ago. We have also called them ~ 6 times, most recently was late last night.

I sent an inquiry to USCIS this morning. Sending one to the NVC tomorrow if nothing still received tonight.

hey guys here's the update of my timeline

2018/12/08 NOA2

2019/01/08 NVC case#

2019/01/08 NVC In trasit

2019/01/10 NVC Ready

2019/01/16 NVC Updated Ready (TW time)

I've made a mistake that I rushed the visa payment as I learned that it said ready haha.

Luckily the payment record will be saved up a year at our embassy.

I'm hoping the updated on 1/16 is our embassy got my case and ready to email my fiance the packet 3!

NOA2 was December 20th and our case is not at the NVC yet. I do know we are within processing times (if not within the average time that I have been seeing lately, at least within the maximums they always give you by standard response at the NVC). It is still frustrating anyways. We sent an inquiry last Friday (no response yet) and my fiancé keeps calling everyday...

So, update: I called NVC this morning (my fiance used to do it as I am in Spain so, hello January's phone bill lol). Our case got there on January 10th and that same day they assigned it a case number. This woman Lisa that picked up the phone got super happy when she heard how much she had made my day; so thank you Lisa from NVC. Now we are just waiting for them to send it to Madrid so we can actually finish our process.

Keep your eye on ceac.state.gov next T/W as that is the next shipping date to the embassies. Be sure to review the information on the first page of this thread for details on how to follow your case using DHL tracker. But details for DHL are not available for 24 hours from shipment so Wednesday you can check DHL and could possibly have results.

@Sarge2155 is the good cop I'm the bad cop. :jest: Thanks for being a part of the VJ community. You may want to read the January first post as it has some additional information that I have added from the questions that are continually asked.

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Juarez Mexico.

Link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

Get the Juarez K1 Embassy instructions at http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/CDJ%20-%20Ciudad%20Juarez.pdf (Spanish) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cBWgGJr4a5ay3b4OV28_dC3pgf63ZUr-/view?usp=sharing (English) as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use this website as a checklist. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

According to the second page, second paragraph of the P3 letter you can fill out the DS-160. But I would wait till your case is in transit to your Embassy before submitting it.

Good luck.

The Priority Date is the date in which your application was received. It being blank will not influence ANYTHING so you don't need to call USCIS to have them update your NOA1 and send you a new copy. :D You will NEVER use it for anything from this day forward. It's like a receipt from the grocery store, once you are home you either throw it away or you just forever ignore it.
