I am having problems with tracking the case with DHL. My case status says 'Ready' but there is not anything found. I've been trying the tracking thing for days now so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or they don't have it even though my case status says it is ready.

If the case status says ready then your case is at the embassy waiting for you to complete everything to get to the interview.

DHL is only going to work if you choose either Tues or Wed's date this week and then correctly identify your country. For your search to be successful that is all you need. Leave all the other parameters alone or matching the instructions.

Do you mind if I ask you what you wrote on the inquiry? My NOA2 was December 20th so I wanna send one, but I do not know what to write because I am assuming that asking "hey dudes, where the hell is my case at?" will not fly (obviously I am kidding).

THANKS!!!

Go to the link below and read number 1. Once you enter the information going down the page you will arrive at a box "type your question below" where you will ask the status of your case and if a case number has been assigned. I think you can do this one.

Begin calling NVC again. You only need to call once a day. Good Luck.

my fiance just called to NVC and they have received our file but haven’t process it yet. they provided us with a case number and invoice ID. So i expect the next step is they are going to deliver via DHL to Singapore? Can i proceed for medical appointment using case ID? (but the issue here is i don’t know which is the appointed clinic until i get packet 3).

anyway thanks for sharing your tips. it reminded us to call NVC today and we got it!

Here is a recent discussion on what is needed. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/641246-what-should-i-do-for-the-next-step/

If and when you get the P3 from your embassy if you could send me a copy via PM here on VJ I would appreciate that. I can then use to help others that come behind you.

As I understood, the medical exam can be done only after receiving the case number from NVC, but no need to wait for the documents to reach the embassy/consulate.

1. Case number from NVC is needed for medical examination along with address in US, where beneficiary is going to live. Your fiancée will need to know this.

2. Police certificate can be obtained without case number. It is valid 1 year. So beneficiary can obtain it in advance.

3. To get results of medical examination it can take 7-14 days, especially in Summer. Medical costs $190 - adult, $140 - child under 14 years.

Police certificate: costs 12,25 bel.rubles- within 7-15 days, or 24,5 bel.rubles - within 3 days.

4. The birth certificate needs to be translated to English.

5. If the petitioner is going to be with the beneficiary for the interview, the USC does not need to fill out anything. Just use the petitioner's passport to enter the US embassy. Though, it doesn't guarantee that they will be allowed to attend the interview with beneficiary that's entirely up to the interviewing CO.

Note: Do not schedule your interview date until you receive a letter with the instructions. If you do not receive the instructions from the US Embassy within six weeks after the notification from NVC about the transferring of your case to Warsaw, you should send an inquiry about the status of your case directly to the Consular Section of the US Embassy Warsaw at publicwaw@state.gov

Thanks, I already know all of that ;)

Waiting for documents from US plus I do have some stuff to be taken care here. Scheduled my medical thought - Jan 22.

FYI, the 4. point is valid for cases when birth certificate is not done in Polish or English. Besides that, only court rulings/judgements have to be translated into English.

My country for interview and medical is here in Canada. As I read from the previous post I need to wait for packet 3 before filing an interview right? I have  question my fiance is scheduled for his tax file this coming end of february. Do i need to wait for that tax return before schedulling my interview? I'm thinking if I can file the interview next month so we can finish early.

You can't hurry it along at all for Canada. You have to wait for P3 which takes 2-4 weeks from Ready. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actually one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS-160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation. Get your medical appointment first so you can schedule the interview shortly afterwards.

Packet 3: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/07/Packet3Instructions-K1.pdf  And Packet 4 for reference also: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/03/Packet4-MTL.pdf

For all things dealing with the US Consulate in Canada head on over to the sub-forum for Canada where they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

You can use the most current tax return. 2017 or 2018. Whichever you have filed prior to your interview. Either will work.
