@Greenbaum What will happen in this case.  If I schedule the interview  after the dead line of NOA2?? its valid?  When I say dead line its the Valid From xxx to xxx.

The consulates can (and do) extend petition validity in 4-month increments for up to a year.  You request will be taken on a case by case basis. You should have a very good compelling reason for the extension.

9 FAM 41.81 N6.2 Validity of a K-1 Petition

(CT:VISA-2165; 08-21-2014)

An approved K-1 visa petition is valid for a period of four months from the date of USCIS action and may be revalidated by the consular officer any number of times for additional periods of four months from the date of revalidation, provided the officer concludes that the petitioner and the beneficiary remain legally free to marry and continue to intend to marry each other within 90 days after the beneficiary's admission into the United States.

Hello everyone!

Excuse my question guys, how long it takes NVC to receive cases from USCIS?

And when was the last time USCIS has sent the approved cases to NVC or when it is going to be the next time? I’m sorry I lost the track because of the holidays and stuff.

Thanks in advance ! 🙂

See the link below for your ? on how long. Cases are sent to the embassies every other week. Next shipment is T/W 1/22 and 1/23.

Case status now at received. It took 2 days to get to Frankfurt (assuming that’s what this notification means)

If you would like to confirm your shipping information you can look toward the bottom of this link for a way of tracking your shipment.

Will this apply to my case as well? Since the only available interviews are after the expiration of the NOA2? Do I have to formally request an extension as there is no easy way to contact the embassy for this.

Each embassy is different to when you can pay your K1 visa fee. Here below I have assembled some links that will get your through this process. Please read what is needed for Taiwan below.

Each K visa applicant must fill out a Form DS-160, pay K visa fee, and prepare required supporting documents, including medical report before booking a K visa appointment. Once the K1 applicant is ready for an appointment, he/she must make an appointment through http://www.ustraveldocs.com/tw/, a website maintained by our authorized partner, CGI Stanley. For additional information regarding the online appointment, please contact the call center via email, mailto: support-taiwan@ustraveldocs.com.

It applies to everyone's case that is going to go beyond the valid date of their NOA2. Contact your embassy for further details. Each embassy is different some will extend without asking and others require contact. I have no information to which does what.

I made an interview/OFC appointment on US Travel Docs finally. I made a mistake on OFC appointment location and got generic reply from USTravelDocs email support to reschedule. I can't just one appointment but I would have to reschedule both and lose my interview slot.  Any Advice??

Few Observations:

I couldn't get OFC a day before the interview day (which kinda caused my issue above as i was trying to get this to work).  It seems you can't select next day after OFC for interview. I am not sure if this is new change or due to my interview being 7:15 am.

The website selects first OFC location for you rather than making you select one, so you should check what is selected before continuing to the next page.  There is no"confirm info/dates/location before booking" page.

Yes everything you will provide, you will do also for the child. So two of everything including the DS-160.

I highly recommend that you become a part of the sub-forum for the Philippines to ask your questions. Most questions about the embassy portion is different for each embassy and would hate to see you miss something because of getting bad information (not intentional I might add).
